“I’ve been coming here for my last 5 or 6 pairs of running shoes. I enjoy the customer service and the opportunity to try pairs on compared to shopping online. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable but not pushy, and stock is generally very good for the store’s size. Prices are high and sales seem few and far between but that is not unique to this store, more of a problem with the 2026 running gear market in general. Shoutout to Ruby who was very helpful today in helping me pick out a pair of Brooks. All in all I would recommend this store to any runner in mpls!”
“UPDATE: MCR very quickly showed me why they’re so beloved. Within hours, they reached out to me and have gone out of their way to make things right. Anyone quick to critique must also be quick to praise. One-offs happen, and I look forward to giving them more business in the future.
I was thrilled to visit the shop within minutes of opening for an ACG clothing release today. I picked two items off the rack, tried them on in the fitting room, and approached the register. Upon ringing me up, I was informed both items had already been allocated to online orders and that they would not sell them to me. It would seem ~100% of physical inventory was allocated to the website despite the effort made by Nike and MCR on the in-person shopping buildout (a custom facade for the front of the store, signage, etc). If you want to buy something from MCR on its launch day, don’t waste your time going to the store when it opens — Buy it online, because that’s who they cater to. Advice to MCR: Keep online and in-store stock separate for a day, or at least until the afternoon. Inventory management systems mistakes still happen though— Your brick-and-mortar shopper with items in-hand and on-body should supersede online orders 100% of the time. Cancelling an order to someone’s face after they walked all the way into your storefront is wild.”

“I have been hunting for a replacement hot tub cover for 4 months. I purchased my marquee hot tub in 2017. Ive gotten all sorts of different measurements for my corner radius which made it impossible to order one online. My local pool supply store offered a cover that was $1200 and would take 8-10 weeks. I saw a Facebook market place ad that Ariel posted. She was extremely helpful and responsive to all my messages. I was able to pick up a cover and it fits perfectly! Ariel, you are amazing and thanks for going above and beyond to help me!”

Mark O at the Minneapolis 2nd Swing location was smooth, knowledgeable and literally took me through four or five separate upgraded driver options for me to compare to my Taylor Made R1 that has been treating me well. Once down the "the" club, a Ping G425, Mark then tweaked my R1 to better match my swing with five balls each per club. Night and day difference, the Ping G425 wins. Actually was heading straight to the course for a round with the new driver. Happy place. “We couldn't go and buy tickets for the baseball game because we had paid for the college reunion events. So instead we looked around in their store and bought other things to take home. I bought a keychain wooden bat, a stress reliever pink squishy pig toy, and a blue T-shirt with their logo. My older sister bought a magnet for the fridge, a mug shaped like the state of Minnesota, and a Black T-shirt with the Baseball Team logo on it. And we chatted with the 2 sales clerks. I took a picture of this large Pirate Ship which was in the baseball yard. When there is a home run fireworks are shot out from this area. It is a nice Baseball store to visit while in St.Paul, MN.We came here after visiting the St. Paul Farmer's Market which is steps away. It was a fun, hot day minus that horrible rainstorm that showed up at 2:00 P.M.”
