“very nice clean hotel quiet rooms no Disturbances at all. hotel bar and food are good, we had a saxophone player entertaining us for the night I tried the blacked wings and they where just perfect with an IPA to wash it down so the evening was just perfect comfortable bed fully stocked mini bar with snacks the cooler is just that not a refrigerator so don't expect to have anything ice cold but it does a good job and doesn't make any noise so it's a bit if a wash for me. the only negative for me would be the pillows, they are two thick for my liking but they are super soft so personal preference doesn't warrant a true negative so the hotel is a 10 out of 10 and would gladly spend a few nights here!”

“Our high school's prom was there. I am new in Jackson and in Mississippi, so I looked forward to experiencing it. Although limited to the area where the prom was held, I thought it wonderful architecture. The servers had delicious food appealing to the senses. I would like to go back and visit for a closer, longer look, but wouldn't know what to do.”

“I really like a small. It's so cute and it's got an orange theory, be careful with the parking lot. I went in the wrong way and totally messed myself up. But other than that, it's completely accessible and very easy to navigate, lots of parking”

“For 51-55 bucks it's pretty nice. I was in rook 127. Well furnace room with a desk chair, bed, fridge, microwave, and TV. Bathroom was nice and clean with fresh new towels, clean mirror with no noticeable smudges.The rooms were sound proof and the area was quiet. Idk it it's normally quiet there I just got lucky that night. The only thing I wished is that if rooms were supplied with drinking water. I tried to use the Pepsi machine outside but it was broken or didn't take bills but the guy at the front desk was nice enough to sell me 2 cokes.I'm a man who doesn't require much to be impressed plus this was my first ever motel experience and honestly I'd love to come back.”

“Beautiful! Clean! Right next to the expressway. Great breakfast. My only issue (however small) was that they didn’t have any linen in the room for the pull out sofa. Instead of going to the front desk to get it, we ended up just using the linen from the 2nd ”

“Star is a good hour hotel. They have decent water pressure, the room is clean (as clean as could be), they have a fridge and microwave, and the tv always works. They also have A/C and heat & a phone in the room. What more can you ask for in a pay by the hour room. You can also stay overnight if you like.”

Justin is the maintenance man, he is always on time with repairing whatever need to be fixed and very kind as well. It is hard to find people with heart in this industry. They treat you like family. “Ok, so I have been off work last week and a half. Fixing to try to work till my health issues are resolved. I am gonna try my best to get rooms back up to par. I see bad reviews and don't want folks thinking it's my fault. I do the best with what I have to work with. I think more renovations are being discussed very soon. If u can overlook management rough edges, I promise this place isn't all that bad. Give us a chance once we do work over next few months, hope u will enjoy your stay. UPDATE: I CAN ASSURE U THAT THERES NO HIDDEN CAMERAS IN THE ROOMS. JUST BECAUSE U R UPSET DOESNT MEAN LIE. YES THIS PLACE NEEDS TO B UPDATED, BUT NOBODY HAS PLACED CAMERAS IN THE ROOMS. I am housekeeper and live on site at oyo hotel I 55 south. I tend to bottom floor. I hope that everyone has a good safe stay and comes back for repeat business. I do my best to clean and maintain rooms to satisfy guests. Thanks for your patience during renovation”

You get what you pay for as far as the amount of love that went into the rooms, and don't understand why they don't outfit the kitchen a bit more with some basics like a plate, a pan and a knife. Makes the kitchen pretty unusable and keeps the fridge empty. Like the bathroom. Like the staff. Like the amenities.”

Yes the stairway could smell nicer and yes their are some spots that could be cleaner but I would still recommend to anyone on a budget or just not wanting to spend a lot. Definitely not as bad as the reviews I’ve seen.”

“Lovely Inn...room was charming and quaint, plenty of room and bathroom was large. The Library Lounge was a great place for before dinner drinks or just to hang out and order dinner. Staff was friendly and helpful...we wanted to play Trivia Tuesday but didn't realize until too late that it was in another room, we thought it would be in the lounge. Disappointed but now we know. Free full breakfast was fantastic, food was delicious and service was great. Another confusing issue was dinner reservations for 1903 Provisions and found out it was the same place as Library Lounge, we thought it was in the room beyond but was told no it was the lounge. Although there were people in the room beyond...not sure I understood. But the food was delicious, husband had double pork chop was so good, and I had the pasta delicious. Highly recommend and would stay in the future.”
