“I walked into our local Ace Hardware in Springfield, NE on Saturday with my five year old daughter looking to purchase a mini Green Egg for my husband for Fathers Day. He has the XL at home already and is obsessed with it. He had expressed interest in getting the mini one for quick cooks.An older gentleman was quick to assist me when I requested one in a box. He searched inventory and unfortunately could not locate one. While he was searching for me another older gentleman checked on me to make sure I was being help.After he shared with me he didn’t have one in a box but could order one for me, I explained I was last minute Fathers Day shopping so ordering one would not work. He offered to call Gretna Ace Hardware and to my relief they had one. I asked if they could hold it and I would go grab it. He immediately said, oh no we can go grab it for you. I explained I was in a time crunch and needed it no later than four - at this time it was close to noon. He said no problem at all.Then a younger gentleman took over and checked me out. To my surprise he said, can I get your address, I will personally deliver it before four. I explained it was a surprise so I couldn’t have him ring the doorbell. To my surprise again he said no worries I’ll call you when I’m close.The green egg arrived at two (well ahead of my super short window of time) and he graciously placed it in my garage and called ahead of time. They did all of this FREE OF CHARGE. I have never had such amazing customer service. A big box retailer would have made maybe put in a 10th of an effort.Ace Hardware in Springfield, NE keep up the great work. I have told so many people about my amazing experience and will continue to do so. You have no idea how grateful I am for your courtesy, kindness and amazing customer service.”

face shield here. Despite wearing it for every occasion that I can excuse, it still holds up. If you look up the product, you'll see that it's a reasonably well thought out invention. There's really no delinquency in the design or function.
Anyway, things are reasonably stocked, easy to find, and customer service is genuinely helpful.

“We are working on a project at home and are having the worst time color matching to our living room. We came in tonight and were helped by a younger guy and he was so so helpful. We came in around 715pm and we know they close at 8pm but he did not make us feel rushed and went above and beyond to help us find the most comparable. It has been a stressful project for us and this has been so helpful for us. I feel bad not getting his name but thank you for being so kind to us!”
“For our workout this is our go to for supplies needed to keep the business moving. The stack is always friendly and helpful and making purchases is super easy. If they don’t have it in stock they’ll get it in stock and turnaround time is really short and efficient. We typically purchase online and go into an in-store pick up. That prevents a lot of phone calls and stress when you need something right away. The facilities always organized and maintained very well. Their hours are accommodating and it suits us very well.”
“Good for tools you dont want to invest in for quick jobs. Paying 20 to 30 $ for an oddjob tool is nice. Doesnt really have a good selection when it comes to smaller specialty tools. IE hand grout cutter/saw”

I went in for some gardening items...I get coupons in the mail all the time .. so value is important to me....it's convenient and close to home.. they have so many "Big Green Egg" items for our grilling needs..and the staff is always super friendly! Value is just "ok" it's a smaller location but when you're in a hurry Ace usually has it! IF we need a screw or a wrench they have it!”

“I had never shampooed a carpet in my life...the nice gentleman that works here walked me through the entire process down to dry times and water temps and what chemical to use when. he even told me exactly what to get for my pet mess issue and the whole bill was waaaay under what i wouldve paid elsewhere. “Had my 24 year old Husqvarna string trimmer serviced here. It’s been acting up for a couple years and even after initially having the original vender I purchased it from go through it at that time, it never ran right. Left it with Small Engine Services in Ralston for a 3 or 4 weeks and picked it up today. Starts right up, runs like a new one and idles like a finely tuned race car!!! Can’t say enough good about this repair shop, I’ll be back w/ other yard equipment that needs some TLC !!! Thanks guys!!”
