I'd been purchasing small, expensive bags of birdseed that sparrows don't like and it was just ridiculous. Then I found Northern Valley and called them yesterday. I got the owner, Michael, and he confirmed that they had the seeds I wanted at a much better price and in larger bags.
I went today and Michael and I discussed the different seeds and confirmed that what I was purchasing made sense for managing my gangster sparrows. Good prices for safflower, Nyjer, suet. And Michael is a genuinely funny and personable guy. It was a pleasure!

Bread and butter nice.
Onion soup not so salty but not as much crust cheese tops.
Quiche very nice.
Creme brulee relatively less eventful. Coffee less wow factor.
Puffy dessert with tiny apple cubes and a scoop of vanilla icecream recommended by server was really good.
China pretty with blue lining.
Interior charming. Nice long bar with high ceiling as well as saloon tables round bench and square standalones.

The winter risotto was rich and perfectly balanced, the NY strip steak was expertly cooked and full of flavor, and the pasta arrabbiata with lobster had just the right heat with tender, generous lobster. Everything was beautifully executed—definitely worth a return visit.
