PetSmart
2458 Central Park Ave, YonkersChris Brown is by far one of the best trainers I have come in contact with. My 7 month old puppy has been having behavioral issues that I needed addressed ASAP. I contacted so many trainers before him and they were so unnecessarily expensive, then I was referred to Chris. We started our 4 week training and as each class passed you could see the progress being made in my puppy. I honestly didnt think she would have made such improvements already but with Chris's help she did. He was so kind, patient and gentle with her. I would recommend Chris' services to any one in need of training. Hes truly one of a kind!

Pet Grooming

Dog Mom Petcare & Grooming
881 Yonkers Ave, YonkersI took my dog to a new groomer today and had a really positive experience from start to finish. The staff was welcoming, patient, and clearly cared about making dogs feel comfortable. One thing I especially appreciated was the open-concept setup — you can actually see all of the grooming stations, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I’ve been to places before where the grooming happens completely in the back, so the transparency here was a huge plus. Another thing that stood out was that they sent me pictures and videos throughout the grooming process, which I really appreciated. It was reassuring to see how comfortable and well cared for he was during the appointment.
When I picked Milo up, he looked fantastic — clean trim, soft coat, and trimmed nails. He also seemed relaxed and happy afterward, which says a lot because grooming appointments can sometimes be stressful.
Overall, I’m really impressed with the professionalism, cleanliness, transparency, communication, and quality of care. I’ll definitely be returning and already scheduled Milo’s next appointment!

Your Pet’s Paradise
791 Yonkers Ave, YonkersI can’t say enough good things about Your Pet’s Paradise! I brought my dog Toby here, and he can be very difficult to groom. Every other groomer I’ve tried has struggled with him, and they always tell me he’s hard to handle. But from the moment we walked in, the staff treated Toby with so much patience, kindness, and understanding. They took the time to make him feel comfortable, and the grooming turned out better than I could have hoped and he came home looking and smelling amazing.
What really makes this place stand out is how genuinely caring the team is. Instead of rushing through everything, they worked slowly with Toby, and I could tell he felt safe and relaxed the whole time. I’m so grateful for how well they handled him and it was such a positive experience for both of us.

JJR Highridge Fishery
1791 Central Park Ave, YonkersJJR Highridge Fishery is hands-down my favorite spot for seafood in Yonkers. This family-run place has been around for decades, and you can taste the difference—the owner heads out at dawn every day for the freshest catch, and it shows in every dish. The fried fish is crispy, flavorful perfection, and I’m obsessed with the grilled shrimp Caesar salad and that dill sauce that makes everything better.
The owner’s super friendly too—always a warm hello and genuine vibe that keeps me coming back. It’s takeout-only (no sit-down), which is fine for quick grabs, but honestly, my one wish is they stayed open later into the night. I’m often craving this stuff when I’m hungry late, and they close around 6:30–7pm most days. Still, for lunch or early dinner? Totally worth planning around. Best fresh seafood around—highly recommend!

Goldberg's Bagels & Deli
777 Central Park Ave, YonkersHands down the best Bagels in Yonkers. They have a true NYC bagel. The crust is fantastic and the Bagel twists are out of this world. I live very close to NY bagel, and McLean, they taste difference is night and day. Almost like buying Italian bread Upstate, and the hand you white bread with seeds. If you don't know a true NYC Bagel, then you would not get it. Not a beautiful place, and a bit of a pain to get to, since its on the West side of the Thruway, and you need to go all the way down, to cross over and head south on the service road. But you will be happy you did.

Bento & Tea
954B McLean Ave, YonkersI have had multiple different orders, and out of all the boba places in New York the quality of these teas just cannot be beat. My personal favorite and recommendation is a taro milk tea light ice with there foam and of course amazing boba pearls. From bento box to fresh sushi, there’s nothing bad in their menu. If I had to be brutally honest sometimes it can be a bit of a wait but it’s so worth it for the quality of the meal it just doesn’t make a difference hence why I’m giving such a strong positive review.
Bento and Tea on McLean is delicious and worth every penny! Will come back and keep getting my boba here on cheat days!!!
