From our very first phone call, I could tell how deeply she cares about the dogs she works with. She asked thoughtful questions about my dog’s grooming needs and health history not just to go through the motions, but because she genuinely wanted to understand how to give him the best experience possible. It’s also reassuring knowing that every dog at the salon is up to date with their vaccinations.
One of the things I love most about Be Happy Dog is the visibility. You can actually see your dog being groomed through the large front window, which gives me so much peace of mind. In the past, I’ve taken my dog to salons in NY/NJ, where I had to hand him off to a receptionist and wouldn’t see him again until the appointment was over. That always made me feel a bit uneasy especially with the unfortunate stories you sometimes hear in the news about mistreatment in grooming facilities.
At Be Happy Dog, everything is out in the open. There’s nothing hidden and that level of transparency is so rare and so appreciated! Of course, I try not to let my dog see me watching — he gets too excited and I don’t want to distract him, MJ, or her wonderful team while they work.
The fact that this salon uses organic shampoos and products is another huge plus, especially for my dog’s sensitive skin. And the blueberry facial? It smells AMAZING!! No other salon has ever made him smell this good. I feel so lucky that my precious poodle gets pampered here.Truly.
I’ve been a loyal customer for well over a year now, and I truly believe Be Happy Dog deserves recognition. Thank you, MJ and wonderful team for the stellar service you consistently provide! See you next month ?

From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff is incredibly kind and attentive, setting such a welcoming tone. The vets are equally wonderful—they are so thorough in their explanations and always take the time to ease my worries, no matter how big or small. It’s a relief to have a team that is not only skilled but genuinely compassionate.

600 Adams St, HobokenI actually would give Animal Infirmary a 5 star rating for the exemplary care we’ve received since we started bringing our dog 7 years ago. We’ve worked with some amazing vets, most notably Dr. Scarangella, who is just the sweetest and helped us through our dog’s eye surgery. However, our most recent experience with a vet in the practice makes me want to give an even lower rating than a 4, but I don’t want one terrible vet to ruin it for the rest of the practice. We are long term patients and my dog was due for her 6 month visit. First of all, our appointment was requested to be with Dr. Williams (also great!) because Dr. Scarangella wasn’t available and we ended up with a different vet. It was supposed to be a well visit but I wanted my dog’s ears checked because we suspected she had an ear infection. The vet we saw then subsequently shamed me for not bringing her in sooner, handed me a $1500 estimate for all the lab work and treatments she ABSOLUTELY needed and insinuated I was a neglectful dog mom if I didn’t do everything she suggested. She then said that we HAD to come back in two weeks (most people have said the traditional follow up is 4 weeks for dog ear infection), implying that I was going to ghost the follow up appointment. Mind you, I was scheduled to have a baby a week later and when my husband showed up to the follow up appointment with a 1 week old at home, the first thing the vet said to my husband was “oh wow you actually came back”. Why would we not come to a visit recommended by a doctor? And then went on to shame my husband at how bad my dog’s ears were originally, barely taking the time to acknowledge that the treatment worked and thank goodness she didn’t need systemic antibiotic treatment. I’ve never felt so disrespected by a medical professional. I would do absolutely anything for my dog and I’m just so offended by how both my husband and I were treated by this vet.

Wally goes to a half day of playgroup multiple days a week and absolutely loves it. We get plenty of photo updates, and I feel so much more at ease during the work day knowing Wally is having fun. The whole team is wonderful, and Wally is always so excited to see Kelsey especially!

You can feed 2 or even 4 if you make little flatbreads. Unfortunately, I didn't know this ahead of time and was a bit bummed out on the proportion size. It was pretty difficult to eat. But giving it 5 stars because everything is fresh!
