3 Cats Pet Store Supplies
624 5th Ave, BrooklynThis store is a bit out of my way, but I'm happy to support the owner as often as I can after many years of lovely encounters at the pet store where he used to work. Bonus points that the aisles are wide enough for my stroller to go down! I've never used their delivery service, but it is helpfully offered as an option every time I buy a huge bag of cat litter (which fits nicely in the bottom of my huge stroller).

Sonia's Pet Grooming
471 7th Ave, BrooklynI had been taking my Riley to Sonia for close to 10 years. He past recently but I wanted to share how amazing Sonia is. She and Riley had a special connection. He was always very relaxed with her and she the same with him. He always came home smelling so good, refreshed and loved the cuts. I think what makes her business great, is she does one dog at a time. She took her time and I loved that! Anytime she noticed something on him that didn't look right, she always told me about it and I would bring it up to his vet. She was usually right, thank goodness! Did I mention how knowledgeable she is about dogs? Sonia is just the best in her mannerisms and how she handles her business as well as her furry customers and their owners. Definitely bring your furbaby to Sonia! I am so glad I did! :)

He had no problem with my dog at all, and actually said he was well behaved and sweet! His haircuts come out perfectly adorable every single time. 2560 Coney Island Ave, BrooklynI have taken 2 cats' there. When my 1st was sick and eventually had to be put down, Dr. Max and the staff were wonderful. Helping me figure out what was wrong and explaining things to me as far as maybe putting her down. They took my second cat no problem and were just as great with treating her. She has anxiety and a heart murmur and again Dr. Max was wonderful with her. When I was getting ready to move out of the state I asked a lot of questions about how to travel with her, medication, etc... They are a wonderful place and I recommend anyone take their pets there.

Loving Paws Animal Hospital: Pesteanu, Loretta DVM
6750 4th Ave, Brooklynthe location was in 67 bayridge brooklyn I highly not recommend this vet when it comes to safe a life i felt ignore. I went there with my sphinx cat looking for help crying in pain the vet didn't even took a look at her just sent the receptionist to the front to tell me about the prices of their bussiness. instead of helping me to safe my cat she was only 5 years the only thing they said was take her to the humane society in Manhattan we don't take walk in after all that time my cat died in the way the humane vet said it was a blood clot she died in pain that if at least this place woulded stabilize her to calm her with the pain she woulded made it alive what would a pain killer cost I woulded paid if this place really care for cats in need of help why the vet didn't even check her and help me out she probably would've being here today with me. I won't recommend it is more about the money than the care of a pet sorry. they left me with a bad feeling of their way of receiving animal at their place.

Canine Starr
169 Starr St, BrooklynWriting this review for both myself and Lucca ( my fur child), we cannot thank Joseph with K9 Starr training enough. He not only brings a great vast understanding of dog's mindset, behavior, and progression, Joseph is patient, honest and very eager to solve any issues you bring him regarding your four-legged friend.
Lucca, my fur pal, is 6yr old 70 lbs rescue presented with severe reactivity and obedience issues that grew worse and worse with his age. Before training with Joseph, Lucca and I's walks would be bring us both a lot of anxiety not knowing if Lucca would completely loose his mind, barking with force and pulling in any dog's direction. The breaking point occurred in line at a coffee shop. Lucca saw a fellow dog in line and freaked out and in the process of reeling him back in/ calming him down - I broke my finger - then needing surgery.
Joseph broke down the training basics and obedience skills not only instructing and training Lucca, but myself , as a dog owner as well. With constant practice and communication with Joseph over our 3 training sessions, Lucca has 180 'ed his behavior. His obedience is at a level I honestly never thought I would ever reach with Lucca. Lucca and I walks have become more enjoyable and less stressful for the both of us. We have frequented the same coffee shop where the finger incident occurred- and Lucca is able to sit my side while I drink a large cup of coffee- totally calm and unreactive towards dog and people!! -Truly amazing!
As dog parents- of course we love our fur children unconditionally, but with this training and unlocked new Happier relationship with Lucca - we are able to enjoy our company together so much more as owner and best fur pal.
If you have a dog, that has any issue, I hope this review further encourages you to reach out to K9 Starr dog training.

The Dog Institute of Williamsburg
125 Roebling St, BrooklynThe Dog Institute is truly exceptional. From the moment I first spoke with Elizabeth, the owner, I knew we had found the right place to support us after bringing home our American Shepherd puppy, Ruby. In that very first phone conversation, Elizabeth could hear the uneasiness in my voice. I was feeling overwhelmed and stressed about doing everything right to raise our puppy well and give her a great life. Elizabeth immediately put me at ease with her calm, thoughtful approach and clear depth of experience.
Since then, The Dog Institute has been an incredible resource for us. Ruby attends Play & Train regularly, and it’s easily her favorite thing in the world. The staff are fantastic: friendly, attentive, and clearly very experienced with a wide range of dogs and personalities. It’s such a positive, well-run environment, and we always feel confident knowing Ruby is spending time with such a great group of people and dogs.
We also work with Elizabeth for Ruby’s 1:1 training sessions. Her knowledge and experience really shine in how clearly and effectively she teaches both dogs and their owners. The sessions are practical, approachable, and incredibly effective. Ruby soaked up her early lessons and quickly grew into a confident, well-behaved puppy thanks to Elizabeth’s guidance.
We feel so lucky to have found The Dog Institute and are incredibly grateful for Elizabeth and the entire team. We’re excited to continue working with them as Ruby grows.

Your Spoiled Pets
124 Meserole Ave, BrooklynMe and my dogs absolutely love this place. Scott and his team takes such good care of all of the dogs here it's truly remarkable. Both locations have outdoor space which is so amazing and truly necessary for dogs. Other dog daycare's don't have outdoor spaces which just encourages dogs to pee and poop inside and really sets back training. Because they have these outdoor spaces it gives the dogs an opportunity to go to the bathroom and hang out outside in the sunshine and not be cooped up all day. That thoughtfulness alone should be the reason that you're taking your dogs here. the people who work here are all such nice people. You really get the feeling that they actually like dogs and they enjoy the environment that they're in. As everyone knows, a pack of dogs can be really intense and really loud and everyone that works here is well equipped to handle a bit of chaos. Love this place!

The best part? The night we came home, my two cats were literally sitting by the front door… waiting for HER. I was a tiny bit jealous (lol), but mostly just so happy knowing how loved and cared for they were. ? She truly treated them like her own.
If you’re looking for someone reliable, caring, and totally in tune with your pets, Nellie is your girl. We’re so grateful we found her!

RAS Plant Based
739 Franklin Ave, BrooklynI can’t rave enough about my experience at Ras. I had great service and probably the best meal during my visit to NYC. I came for lunch on a weekday and the whole menu, including brunch, was available. Since they are 100% vegan, it also meant that I could order anything and everything. Can there be too many choices? Everything looked great, but my waiter convinced me to get the chef’s special kitfo. There was also a nice selection of NA mixed drinks, and I ordered the Crown Heights queen—watermelon, ginger beer, mint and lime. I loved every sip and every bite of my meal. The chef’s special was packed with flavor and different textures. Each bite felt unique from the last. Kitfo is typically a ground beef, and their version is made from soy. That alone had such incredible flavor like it had been nicely browned to build out the complexity of the dish. The drink was equally good. I could have started on a second meal immediately after finishing my lunch. Not because I was hungry, simply because the food blew my mind. Updated from previous review on 2026-04-17
