“If you are looking for personable service you will find it at Sugarhill Hardware. No way could I have called or walked into a major retailer like Home Depot or Lowes and received the support ( that's beyond service) that I received from this family-owned business. I called, they listened and dispatched a well qualified family member to my home ASAP to correct a plumbing issue. I have never seen anything like it. Professional & serious about my plumbing issue in less than an hour my old faucet was removed and a new one installed. The price was soooo right!!! Thank you Marco (Dad) & sons Jeremy, & Marvin. They have been helpful with paint supplies, key duplication, plumbing emergencies, etc. I appreciate having a convenient business with helpful staff members that are nice (which isn't always the case in NYC). I called ahead to tell them what I needed in my own words I told them and they guided me throughout the whole process, I needed some lumber and didn’t know the measure of the lumber at all, one of gentleman at front took his time to show me the lumber I needed to make sure if that’s the lumber I needed for my project! “EDIT- Sergio the president of the company called me apologized for the behavior of his team and made things right. The product is a good product. The frustration of my review was directed at the inappropriate communication of the customer service, Sergio apologized and promised he would fix that.
I ordered door knobs to replace the generic doorknobs that came with the Bellidini doors. I called the rep to verify the fit and functionality and he offered up that the lead time is quite long and to expect (4 weeks). Luckily I had planned for that. It’s now been 7 weeks. I get delays, as a general contractor that happens all the time not the end of the world.
I reached out for some clarity on the situation and ETA on the product. This is where it comes into play how SKETCHY of a business Door Design Labs is:
I asked them for an ETA April 2nd. Ruslan responds and says “ he doesn’t know. He needs to check back with the manufacturer.”
I wait until the following week ask for a status update. Ruslan says “he can’t exactly say. But if I pay extra he will ship it in the next couple days and I should have it.”
It’s a classic bait and switch scam. He conveniently has the handle he’s been waiting on after asking him for ETAs. But I need to pay more to actually get it quickly. The whole operation is sketchy. Just avoid them. Avoid belldini doors too. Just go EZ Jamb doors, take my advice as a general contractor, it’s not worth saving a couple hundred bucks to work with conmen.”

“I had a really good experience at this hardware store. I stopped in looking for a specific part for my faucet, and Oliver helped me out. Even though they didn’t end up having the exact piece I needed, he was patient, took the time to check options, and was genuinely willing to help.
The store itself is well organized and easy to navigate, which made it simple to pick up a few other household items I needed while I was there.

I don't expect them to be as big as the Home Depot, but for basic needs they're good”
