“Staff are family, so kind and genuinely care. Poetry workshop was a blast and love buying from the storefront gift shop. When Milton passed away they held me in my silent mourning and gave me an outlet to celebrate him in a quiet atmosphere. The other people at open studio honored my heart by sharing stories and letting me share Milton's. Forever grateful for the healing that happens here at off-center.”

“Brought some donations here and the lady who took our bags was so kind! I had never been there before and she told me they don't charge kids for the clothes and they supply them with outfits, shoes, and school supplies... that made my heart happy. They were so grateful for the donations and wished me a blessed day. Will be coming back here and recommending this place to everyone!”

“We love the people and the accomodations they had and the facility was very CLEAN!! One thing did stick out. Not much color or art. I'm an artist, me and my daughter paint murals, so we are very familiar with colors and art and how they can be medicine for your soul♥️ I stayed 40 days last year at the other location and I recall no art in the rooms. Once I went back home, I forgot that it was something I wanted to push for. For the families to come. One positive painting of positive images or words can go a long way.I left MaKayla(?) my number if interested we could paint inside on walls or look into a theme for canvas.”

“This community has a special place in my heart. After a huge conversion to the Lord Jesus Christ nearly 25 years ago, I spent nearly 1.5 years here. Abbott Joel Garner and the community of priests and brothers welcomed me with open arms. It quickly became clear that I was not able to discern the priesthood, but the community let me stay for over a year. I had spiritual direction and psychological counseling during that year. The community never asked for a dime, and they even let me keep my two dogs here. I became good friends with a brother here, and we ended up spending a lot of time together. (RIP Dennis, and thank you for taking me under your wing and supporting me.) More recently, I returned for a private retreat in one of the new hermitages, St. Norbert's hermitage! It was a great 8 days. I highly recommend it to anyone who is seriously looking to get away in silence, with daily Mass and prayer. I'll attach some pictures I took during my retreat.”

“I can honestly say that when people ask if there’s anything or anyone who saved my life without me even realizing it, Tenderlove Community Center is that answer. I first came to Tenderlove about a year and a half ago. Before I found this place, I had no idea it even existed. I was about to leave Darrin Place Rehab and needed somewhere to go in Albuquerque to continue my sober journey. A friend recommended Tenderlove, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed.

I successfully completed their program, and I can truly say that if you're ready to change, these people will provide you with the tools you need to succeed. The key part, though, is that it’s up to you—if you truly want it. Tenderlove doesn’t run a playground; they run a program. It’s all about commitment, and I’m so grateful for that approach.

I owe my success to Tenderlove, and I want to extend my deepest thanks to the staff, especially Ms. Debbie. Without their support, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you for everything!”

“This is the German American Club. It is private, but you can go with a member or join ($45/year). It's got a cozy little bar that is fully stocked, and they have social events as well. Membership is open to everyone. The decor reminds me of Oktoberfest. The building has a large reception hall and kitchen facilities as well.”
