“Hot topic was the only store to shop at growing up Emo in the early 2000s.It had been some time since I had been here and am pleasantly surprised. The clothing it adorable and much of it a perfect replacement for previous styles. There is a huge variety, and as an "elder emo" hot topic gets my seal of approval. If you want older styles of clothing go to the thrift store like the rest of us.”

“I had a leather jacket custom designed for my body type and the results were exceptional. It looks wonderful and the leather is so soft. I was told that it's lambskin and that helped the jacket flow over my areas of concern. Store owner measured me perfectly and created something spectacular. They even put in a custom designed embroidery pattern that we wanted on the inside. I highly recommend this business for any of your leather needs. Great customer service as well.”

“I needed to get some gifts from guests from the West Coast and imagined that attire from LL Bean would be something quintessentially Northeastern. As I don't shop here myself (and having been deterred by the company's politics) I had no expectations when I entered the store. First, the store is large, handsomely laid out, and conveys the (correct) impression of high quality. I was approached by two salespeople who were very nice and very helpful. It pretty much screams high quality by your shopping experience. The items I selected were full price, and not inexpensive, but were clearly well made. At check out they were carefully wrapped and placed in a shopping bag (kudos for not appearing to charge for the bag and for not using plastic.) I would go back here in a moment. Factoring the dirth of high quality options in the Albany area it's nice to have this here.”
“Love love LOVE this store so much. The employees are so sweet and helpful + the whole store has amazing stuff. There’s two employees I wanna shout out (I don’t know their names but they’re SOO sweet). One of them with really short hair and glasses helped me find an outfit for a trip I was going on a little while back, they got me a dressing room and helped me with outfit/color recommendations. I ended up leaving with a cute skirt and top all thanks to them. I also received a lot of help and even chit chatted with the other employee who was also really sweet. I see them often and I’m pretty sure they’re the manager of the store. I’ve introduced so many of my friends and family to this store, they love it and so do I. All in all, great store! :)”

“Erica is amazing. I went in for an updated wardrobe because I am now 30 and it was time lol. Erica approached me asking if she could take the items I picked out to a dressing room so I could keep shopping, and then she asked me what I was shopping for today. I continued shopping and when I went to the dressing room, she told me that she also picked out some things I could try if I wanted and she had it hanging in the dressing room organized into multiple outfits. It was so sweet and I really loved a lot of the pieces she picked out that I wouldn’t have picked for myself on my own. She was there when I needed to try different sizes and brought it to my dressing room. She went above and beyond to make the experience not only pleasant, but fun!! Thank you Erica!!”

It can be a bit on the pricey end, but that’s because most of their items are sustainably and ethically sourced as well as being high quality.
