“Initially I was angry because it took forever to get it done, because It was a minor accident, but unknown to me there were more damage under the hood. When I went to pickup the car, I was so impressed with the work, both outside and under the hood. They know their stuff.
Few things to know:
1. They work directly with insurance, so if you know your insurance is not the best, look for another local mechanic.
2. It takes a while to fix the car, if you do not have that patience, look for another place... However, trust me you won't be disappointed at the end.
3. You get update through text message (not everyday), but if you give them a call for update, they will always answer your call.
4. They provide a web-link where you can see your repair estimate and track the progress... The 1st week estimate is not the final, keep that in mind... Most likely end of 2nd week you get exact estimate for the repair.

“I have been a customer of Ely's for years. Unfortunately he had to move from his Grand Concourse location but he is still easily accessible to anyone in the South Bronx and located right off the Bruckner Expressway (the shop is on Bruckner Boulevard). Ely and his mechanics are a true do it all, know it all team. They can immediately tell you what is wrong with your car just by listening to the details of your problem. Any issue you have, Ely can order the parts and get your car fixed ASAP. Then there is Eddy, Eddy is legendary in the Bronx. The man has been a master mechanic for centuries! He doesn't try to swindle you, upsell you, anything. Any problem you have, he will literally jack up the car and show you. He will also advise you against certain things you think you should do because you heard it on the grapevine. I'll give you an example, one time I wanted to change my brake pads because I kept hearing the screeching sound (we all hate that about brakes). Eddy told me not yet as the brake pads still had a little more padding to go and it would just be a waste. I used it to the safest minimum and got it changed within 2 months. Can you imagine? I still had 2 months left of driving out of the brakes and thanks to Eddy, I was able to reduce waste and get nice pads on for the holidays! Lastly, we will talk about price. Ely will always give you the best price out of any mechanic in the South Bronx hands down! If you go to a dealer, you are only asking to waste your money. Also, Ely and Eddy stand by their work. If you have any problems post-repair, just call Ely and he will always tell you to come right back. No questions asked!Overall, I highly recommend Ely for all your mechanic needs. Stop searching for a mechanic now and head over there as soon as possible. Don't forget to look out for Eddy. You will know him when you see him. :D”

“Both my rear view mirrors were stolen, took my car to get the mirrors replaced, I was told there were damages caused from the way they pull out the mirrors, estimate at the time was a little over $1,000.00. Hes dominican his name is Elche also this is not the right location. His shop is right on park avenue but after 173rd st after the P.C. hardwood company, it’s a red and yellow shop.
