“Went here to mail off two packages. The lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful in helping me decide on which envelope to mail my items in. Along with explaining to me the different shipping rates. Also the trip was quick, there was no line.”
“I have a PO Box at this location, and was expecting a package. However, the tracking info was giving me a different PO location.
I went to the window and had the pleasure of speaking to Mr. Javier Velazquez. Mr. Velazquez listened and explain to me in detail the process, why I was receiving a different PO location. He checked my info and retrieved my package. I left the PO with my package (I thought it lost).
Mr. Velazquez wasn't nasty and didn't have an attitude. He was very helpful and informative.
Thank you for good customer service Mr. Javier Velazquez.”
“The gentleman that has been there for years is carrying this post office on his back!! He’s the nicest person I have ever encountered that works at a post office. Usually these people are rude and disgusting for no reason. I forgot his name but he is a light skinned black man. I ship packages at least 10 times a week and I specifically stand and wait for him. He should train these incoming employees so they can see how to treat people. Give him a raise immediately!”
“I have been using Rockin Wellness Collagen Vegan Revitalizer for over one year now. My hair has been thicker and more lustrous since I started using it every day. I use 1 scoop in my coffee.”
“Vanessa was the ONLY postal worker in the facility working in front. She handled all customers (passport and regular customers). She did a phenomenal job, kept her composure, was kind and super helpful! 10/10 would recommend!!!”
“I had to get a new passport and I arrived late and unprepared. The employee at the passport window, Henry Sanchez, was polite, professional, and patient. I had a pleasant experience.”
“Stopped by earlier in the week to send out some items I had to return. I showed up with no box and completely unprepared. The worker there was beyond kind, patient and helpful. She did not rush me, helped me find a box that would fit my items and helped me get it sealed up. First ever positive experience at a USPS location.”
“Daniel and Albany were super patient and helpful for my moms first time PP application. Very rare to find such customer services these days. Definitely will come back for my any shipping work.”
“I was greeted by the staff person behind the counter Clerk#11 by my receipt(didn't asked his name). He patienly provided me with information about the pricing of packages and the best option. Thank you!. Great customer service. Place is small and you might miss it if not paying attention. Items for shipping (priority/flat rate boxes, labels etc ) are in stock out in the waiting area.”
“Living in this community for 30 years and uses this post office, my experience with their customer service is always excellent, expremely professional, warm and friendly. We need more staff like them.”
“I had a problem with a delivery and really needed some assistance quickly. I called and a Ms. Hyman assisted me beautifully. She was kind, thoughtful and went above and beyond to help resolve my issue. Such a nice experience. Thank you to Ms. Hyman and to my mail carrier Tasha,(who is ALWAYS above and beyond).”
“I don't usually have to rely on USPS, but when I needed help to locate a lost package this branch was really helpful, and was able to mobilize the delivery person to look for the missing package and found it in a different building.
The 4 stars is because they did lost my package in the first place, the weekend working person that made the delivery placed it in the wrong building mailbox. Reading the other reviews, it seems that is a recurrent issue with the weekend delivery.”
“When there's an emergency order, I can always count on the usps in riverdale. Just wish certain workers would stay off the phones. Sorry for snitching. Not trying to get a ticket”
“It’s convent to have a PO nearby and the people are friendly enough and efficient. Be forewarned that it is closed from 12:30-2:00 for lunch as of January 2021.”
“This was my 2nd time ever mailing anything out, so I was clueless on what package to get to place my item in, it's price, how to write the addresses and etc, yes literally only 2nd time I mailed anything out, it was pretty busy, and there was only one lady there name Helen fonseca, who I managed to peek at her name badge, I applaud her for one being very patient with me, knowing that most of the questions I asked were probably common sense but I was a bit worried because I was sending a package international and wanted to make sure everything I did was correct, and two even though the line was long she was very nice to every person, meanwhile most people in her shoes shall have a reason to be frustrated, a long line and she's all alone but was taking care of everyone in a swift manner, great customer service indeed. Yes I was that guy that asked a few questions and may have took some extra time and got someone annoyed on the line but she was so patient and helpful.”
“One of the best post offices I've been to in the Bronx. The only other one that's as good is in Riverdale. I actually missed this place a couple times even though Google Maps says it's here. That's because of the construction going on in the shopping plaza so it is covering up the sign for the post office. Maybe that is why this post office is a good one to go to? Anyways, it's a smaller post office but most of the people go there are mailing items or buying money orders. Not picking up packages since picking up packages is what causes the horrible long lines at other post offices. I've dealt with 2 clerks there and they are both very efficient and polite.”
“Despite the lack of workers which was exceptional due to the size of the place, the service is GREAT! The person at the counter was very helpful and patient with me, giving I have zero experience with sending packages.”
“Excellent and fast customer service at this location. I applied for my adult passport with photo services and paid the expedited fee. My passport arrived a week later. The appointment was exactly 15 minutes long. Be sure to bring photo copies and original documents for a smoother experience.”
“Since they don't deliver my packages although they are down the street I really can't complain.I go in to get my money orders there on Fridays. There usually isn't a line and everything is pretty quick. It's the smallest post office I've ever seen.”
“I've witnessed firsthand how some customers can be quite demanding and unkind, but the staff remains composed and treats everyone with respect. Their patience and grace under pressure are truly commendable, making every visit to the post office a pleasant experience. Moreover, this tiny branch consistently maintains its efficiency. Even during peak hours, the lines move swiftly, and there is a well-organized system in place to ensure that everyone's needs are met promptly. It's evident that the staff is committed to providing top-notch service, no matter how busy the day gets.I am genuinely grateful for this post office and the essential role it plays in our community. Thanks to the dedication of its staff, I always leave with my mailing needs fulfilled and a sense of appreciation for their hard work.”
“I'm giving 5 stars because I want them to see this but in reality they deserve 0 stars. This is the only post office near me and there is always a wait even when multiple windows are open . The staff is nice enough but something needs to be done to improve the service”
“This was my 1st time visiting this location & was hesitant. When I entered the office, there were only 3 people in line. I needed to box and address my package. When done the line had grown to 11 people! I was very concerned & contemplated leaving, especially since there was only 1 clerk/ window open, but gave the line a try. And SO GLAD I DID! WHAT A SUPERCLERK 22!! SHe was professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, courteous & handled business keeping that line moving so noone was waiting forever. It was the best representation of USPS I've seen in a long time, other than my regular station at Columbus Avenue who are A+ #1 in my book. It was refreshing to have this excellent experience as a 1st timer & I'd utilize this station more because of it. KUDOS, a RAISE & 5 STARS to SUPERCLERK 22! and most of all THANK YOU for taking PRIDE in your job & the community you serve!I've been to many other USPS offices and it's like visiting a horrific prison. Talk about disgruntled postal workers. It's ridiculous for them to be so mean, unprofessional & take forever to do NOTHING and be so unhelpful.”
“I came here to ship a id and they lost it and I didn't get no money back for a replacement I'd be careful with important information shipping from here it will get lost also when you come inside it smells like a dead rat in there smell is horrible to even stand on the line they need to get someone to find the smell and clean it asap”
“I never had a problem with this post office they are very professional staff I'm a seller (/baseball cards) if you have a problem just take it with the post master she will help you sometimes people are rude to the staff there get mad when they can't find your package it's not they fault they get millions of package there just be patient with they I get a lot of love there A.F”
“Never rely on the time table on websites most business usually open at 10 am, that is the average opening time. I never had an issue when I sold for ebay back in the day.”
“Always having a problem with delivery never get my package and they have a problem. I live 1230 Spofford Ave #GB WALKIN BRONX NY 10474-5810 next to the building i have a doorbell i see and speak to who at my door. They never ring it and say they put in mailbox and I check mail box is not there. I had several package stolen. This is getting out of control. Something has to be done.”
“Will and Keisha are the best Postal workers in the Post Office system. I have dealt with many post offices between Brooklyn and the Bronx and they both are the nicest and most professional of all the employees I've dealt with. The Post office should have them give classes on courtesy and professionalism. Thank you for your great service.”
