“Such a joyful experience, in stark contrast to the usual experience of trying on pants, especially vintage denim. Ended up with my holy grail denim and comfortable stan rays, which had evaded me until now.”

“This sweet shop is providing an amazing service to parents, kiddos and the earth! I feel so much better about selling and purchasing gently used clothes than I do buying new stuff and thus, contributing to world’s consumption and waste. The selection is nicely curated and the staff is warm and helpful. So grateful to have Owl Tree in our neighborhood!”

“We found here by chance while walking there. Very unusual decoration attracted us. Also very friendly warm Barista helped us to choose options for light breakfast. Coffee was fantastic and meals too.Very cozy ambience and also music were splendid. We advice you to come by here.Kid-friendliness: Very special corner for them.”

“Very quiet store. Shirts and dresses are organized by color, which makes browsing easy. Selection of men’s and women’s vintage clothes at very reasonable prices; got a leather jacket for $90 and a sleeveless shirt for $22. Do remember to check the condition of the items though; the store is not well lit, and I didn’t notice the items I got were each missing one button until I got home. Overall pleasant shopping experience, definitely recommend.”

“This is the best vintage shop in Brooklyn. The quality of finds, the range, the prices, the *vibe*… You can feel how hard she works to curate as soon as you walk into the shop. Do yourself a favor and go here.”

“It was such a pleasure to connect and talk with Kyle here. He is so genuine and it felt like I was catching up with an old friend :). The store has a good curation of clothing - unfortunately my boyfriend and I didn't end up buying anything this time but we are definitely coming back! ❤️”

“As a native New Yorker who has lived in Paris and is passionate about clothes, I advise anyone visiting from Europe who wants to experience real NY vintage, curated with taste and style, to get to Amarcord. This is the kind of New York store you want to support and hope it stays forever. It has character and individuality and you will find something unique and personal there. This isn’t fast fashion. It isn’t cookie cutter, mass produced garbage. It’s real pieces you’ll feel special in whenever you wear them. Go!! Buy!”

“This store has all of the unique styles you won’t see everywhere. Great customer service and very personal. I went with my partner Kev Lo who was able to find my daughter’s bday gift in a crunch for time. Thank you Unique StyleBK!”

“Hello dear madam, here France speaks to you, country of elegance. You deserve this positive opinion because you had the talent to sublimate my friend, a handsome man. I'll come see you one day! ”

“Great selection of men's leather jackets at good prices. Everything there looked very fashionable and the garments were all clean and well maintained. Even some items from big names like Hugo Boss etc.Unfortunately there were very few items in a size small for mens (I'm 5'7" with a pretty slim build and I have this problem at vintage/thrift stores a lot) so I couldn't get anything. I left wishing I were larger because full genuine suede and leather jackets for $100 bucks is a pretty good deal if you ask me....Minus one star because I wanted to buy a few jackets but the size distribution did not accommodate me ?”

“giant thrift store with endless options! unfortunately the place is getting way crowded with tiktok tourists and fast fashion clothing, but still good finds and decent prices”

“While I was waiting for a table at Peaches, I popped in to browse the store. They have a great selection of candles, vintage clothing, jewelry, shoes, and other accessories and the best part is they are size inclusive! I don't normally find things in my size that are designer since I'm a big girl, but here they had it! They even had a pair of gorgeous Stuart Weitzman mules that I bought in a size 12!”

“One of the best vintage/antique cloth and living shops in NYC. Price are fair to the condition and how rare the item is. I always find their lace and silk collections quite unique and affordable.”

“My son and I love to shop here. You can never leave this store empty handed ?‍?. You really have to dig through the racks to find the good stuff. The staff is friendly and they have a clean restroom.”

“Well it looks like I've found my new favorite vintage spot. Incredible and curated selection, well organized, and every piece I saw was in perfect or close to perfect condition. Pricing was honestly very reasonable and I ended up leaving with a ton of great finds. The staff was super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and the space was larger than I initially thought it would be - there's a whole back room with even more great stuff. The only piece that got away was a beautiful 50's jacket that fit perfectly but I had already spent far more than I had originally intended. Hoping someone comes by and snags it up soon so I don't have to keep dreaming about it.”

“Listen, Rachel with the cutest personality helped me realize that I needed a black beanie for this winter!! It’s so cute in the store and I want to wear everything in there! ?”

“Good customer service. The scents and aesthetics upon entering are a vibe. SOPHIA (curly hair) is a pro with handling clientele: projecting confidence in finding a fit for what people are looking for and making browsers feel welcome and enthused to convert to spenders. She carried herself with the attention of a shop owner but without the pressure to meet bottom line--calming, authentic energy. Bought stuff due to her and so did others. Come here for something unique yet chic as a gift or self care indulgence.”

“They make you feel like home in your own closet, they have local designers and vintage leather boots from around the world. Such a gem of a store! They also have a great layaway system where you can really invest into a lifelong wardrobe. 10 stars if I could!”

“Overall, not a bad place, lots of inexpensive decorations. The benches are located at a comfortable distance from each other, there is no overload. But there is not a wide variety of vendors. I would like more choice, different styles, not just for generation Z, and different art objects, and maybe also food/drinks.I liked that the clothing room is located separately, there are fitting rooms there.”

“I love this place! Great clothes, vibes, and people. They have a selection of carefully selected vintage items that include clothes, jewelry, home decor, and more. If you’re on Tompkins it’s well worth the visit.”

“Such a great shop. I'm in RI but the owner has gone above and beyond to help me virtually so I could get the most perfect gifts (a few for myself). Awesome selection of unique stuff, hard to choose because there's so many cool things. Love that the owner features so many local talents, is so aware of sustainability, and chooses an organization to support every month. The best.”

“Fabulous store! Saori has been here 20 years! The store is small but the finds are everywhere! There was even a gorgeous milly peacock dress for $115. She had a sale rack out front and everything was $20! My lord. So awesome.”

“The woman who runs this store is a gem. She thoroughly vets the items before selling them to ensure they're genuine and in great condition, she even knows the history of some items. This is NOT a thrift store. This where you go for long-lasting vintage items. I bought 4 of the most beautiful vintage purses I've ever laid eyes on, I am so happy I live close enough to visit frequently! The items are fairly priced as well, if not under-priced for some.---Another review mentions the woman caring about sizing. This woman cares for her pieces like artifacts and is well versed in the fashion world (including sizings). I can almost guarantee that she meant no offense, she just knew for a fact that the sizing would be incorrect based on her experience. I'm glad she didn't let someone of the incorrect size damage one of those amazing, historical artifacts. She is a valuable resource for fashion, and can make suggestions based on your interests. This is all just from meeting her one time!”

“Phenomenal curation, legit the best I have ever seen. A bit on the pricier side but Jon is willing to work with you on pricing especially if you buy multiple things. Very friendly too! I will be back next time I'm in NYC :)”
