At least in my experience with Home Depot. Most of the staff are very courteous (a few could use customer service training) and can competently navigate the aisles navigate inventory. The staff would accompany me to each area and get the item that I needed, or they would have me wait while they looked for the items and brought it to me, I even got assistance at the checkout register to assure me that I was using my credit card safely.
