“The manager , his children , and employee the young lady are EXTRAORDINARY and EXCELLENT! VERY COURTEOUS &HELPFUL! ANY QUESTIONS RELATED TO A PRODUCT OF PAINTS , GENERAL PRODUCTS USED IN HOMES , LIGHT BULBS , TOOLS, ITEMS HANDY FOR HOMES, AND KEYS MADE HERE.”
“Like another reviewer said, coming in here is an experience. David and Peter are just two awesome guys of the community. It’s something out of a movie. The shop is chaotic and disorganized, sure. But they will go up and out of their way to ensure you get what you need and will give you the time of day for even odd hyper specific requests. I was trying to build a guitar pedalboard but make it very customized with a pretty specific thing in mind… but I didn’t really have exact dimensions. David spent off and on about 1-2 hours going through the store and talking me through what I needed and how to do it. Pros and cons. I personally think I can be annoying with some of the trying to understand the how and why but they don’t make you feel that way.
TL;DR: being in there feels like an irl sitcom while also getting very practical help and things.”
“I recently had an exceptional experience with Safe House Locksmith. Donald guided me over the phone, step by step, to get our safe operating and open. His patience and frequent check-ins made the process smooth and stress-free. It was clear that he prioritizes clients by ensuring the issue was something we could easily fix before scheduling a service call. I’m truly grateful for his help and insights. I highly recommend Safe House Locksmith and will definitely reach out to them for all our future locksmith needs. Thanks, Donald!”
“truly the best hardware store around! i have taken a few keys to get copied and there was one that was pretty tricky, but they took their time to try to solve the puzzle and, in the end, it worked! such kind and great gentlemen here-- always met with a smile. love having a local hardware store; don't second guess, these guys are great! 😊🗝”
“Your neighborhood hardware store should have just about anything you need to take care of things in and around your home and Mazzone ACE Hardware on 116th does just that! Everyone working there is so knowledgeable and helpful that you leave their feeling confident that you’ve gotten just exactly what you need. It certainly beats the corporate hardware stores, you know HD and one that begins with an L where help is hard to find and the personal touch is sorely lacking. I’m so glad that we have Mazzone’s ACE hardware to rely upon.”
“I got my keys copied here and they were super fast, really cheap, and did a great job. If I ever need copies again, I’m definitely coming back here and nowhere else. Just keep in mind they close pretty early, so check the time before you go.”
“Worker was helpful and knowledgeable prices are equivalent to Amazon and Home Depot
Went in for a Bike chain and left with the knowledge and tools to fix shower doors and a toilet that wouldn’t stop running”
“Great Shop, very patient and helpfull. I got everything i needed in less time for less money than going to home depot or amazon where they didnt have what i needed or it was out of stock. And whats more important is the Staff made sure everything i was buying worked together and i had all the proper grommets, lugs and comnectors for both the indoor and outdoor parts of my Project to avoid the second and third trips that are always needed at the box stores.”
“I wish I had visited this place a long time ago when we moved. It’s not just a paint store but also a huge hardware store they carry most of anything that you need for the house. I stopped there this morning and Rich was so helpful and patient. I got the color paint I was looking for my front door.”
“great store, guy who runs it is super friendly and always helpful + knowledgable , i keep finding things here that i didnt expect after looking at other stores that didnt have it first.. you will be surprised”
“This place is the best! Knowledgeable, friendly and patient! They are well stocked for a mom and pop shop. Been here since I was a kid. I came at closing like Banana head bad customer but they stayed open and helped me till I have every nut and bolt for an emergency job!”
“Best local Hardware store.
Frank is one of the most honest people I have met👍 and that is not seen a lot anymore. Very kind, very helpful. This is Our 🇺🇸 American way. 🙏🙏”
“Personally i think we are lucky to have this store right here. Staff is great and knowledgeable and almost always find what I need.....and I don't have to do the big crowded Home Improvement stores !!! Pricing is fair and quality of product is great !!”
“Great place, everyone is very helpful, and goes out of their way to get you what you need! Even if there is a new owner, the same people still work there, and that’s what makes it special!!
Have been coming here for years, and will continue to do that. No other hardware store in the area comes close to the knowledge, experience, and expertise found here”
“This store is an amazing local hardwar store with lots of cool houseware and decorations for holidays. Not to mention the staff is wonderful and helpful. When I first moved to my apartment nearby, one of the associates offered to carry a bench I bought for my balcony for me to my new apartment. I would honestly go there more often, if only they were open on Sundays! See, Sunday is my only free day during the week, where I don't have work and less likely to have other stuff going on. It would really help both me and our community if they were open on Sundays as well.”
“His estimate was his price. No up sell. Price on the lower end of the estimates received. Reasonable, Showed up wearing a mask and knew exactly what to do. Finished within a half hour. Quality & efficient. Highly recommend especially for sudden occurrences (like when your handle in the storm door falls off).”
“Came in for a repair on my impact gun, the gentlemen helping me looked at it for two seconds, showed me what I was doing wrong, and gave it back to me without any charge whatsoever. Very honest, pleasant service!”
“I had such a great experience at JERE’S Hardware. I went to Home Depot first trying to find the right extension to connect my sink faucet to a washing machine, and honestly, I got zero help and a lot of dismissive looks. I’m very capable plumbing just isn’t my lane, and I needed guidance, not attitude.
I came into JERE’S feeling frustrated because I didn’t even know how to properly explain what I needed. Instead of brushing me off, the woman behind the counter actually listened and suggested I go home and bring back the faucet piece so we could match the threads correctly. That advice alone saved me so much time.
When I came back, the man who helped me (I’m assuming he’s the owner or manager) was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. We basically played Tetris with parts until everything lined up perfectly. He explained what each piece did and why it worked.
I got home, screwed it on, and it fit perfectly. I was genuinely happy and relieved.
This is the kind of hardware store that feels like family. Knowledgeable, respectful, and willing to take the time to actually help you solve the problem. I’ll absolutely be coming back.”
“Rain dew is a great local store that remind you of the old-time Woolworths. They seem to have a little bit of everything you can get candy, hardware, yarn, toys.. they have it all. Prices are great for a small local store. They even have a pharmacy. It’s great to shop local and support business in the area.”
“I love to go to my favorite hardware store. They are all very pleasant and kind. Always find what I'm looking for and always make my copies keys there. Pleasure doing business with them. All my best wishes . I have been going to that store for almost 30 years. Hope the store will be open forever, wishing a lot of success ?”
“Peter the store Manager is a true gentleman and Carlos the Assistant Manager always a great help there bayside paint is the place to buy all your needs in paint because they treat you like family. Thank you to the staff there as well you guys are awesome.”
“I bought screwdrivers here to change my brake light. I was working on it in the parking lot here because I don’t have a driveway. The team here must have seen me struggling to pull out the brake light panel, because Andy came out and so kindly helped me. He also found me a better screwdriver to keep on hand. Shop local!”
“Very willing to help with any question giving even a laymenas much time as they need even to look up and reccomend what and where you can go if they arent able to help you - great place for plumbing supplies and help!”
“Neighborhood staple for many years. My father use to stop here daily as he owned a 5 family building around the corner over a decade ago. While we no longer live in the area sometimes he makes pit stops there thinking he has to buy something then forgets what. But if there’s something you need, you can always get it here. The staff here are very patient with him. While many businesses have came and went since I grew up here in the 90s and him since the 50s, it’s nice to know this place has been around for over 100 years and a fixture for everyone’s hardware needs. Use to enjoy seeing Gary while walking to work each morning being reminded how many days left ‘till baseball. Aton was a friendly fella as well who did some work at the commercial building. Didn’t get the names of the two gentlemen today, but they are top notch too!”

“For the last few days it's been HOT! But my window has window guards with these weird screws. I tried Home depot, Amazon, etc etc. no luck. I called Angelos and spoke with Jim, right of the gate he was knowledgeable and helpful. I was so hopeful when I got to the store. He gave me what I needed. The store had this home town feeling. Like y'all need to come here instead of those big corporate stores. You'll get help FAST. Well what he gave me worked and I successfully installed our AC unit. I highly recommend this store! Thanks so much Jim”
“A & D Hardware has a great variety of products and friendly service. It's a reliable spot for quick home improvement needs, though some items are slightly pricier.”
“I came in needing an extremely random and hard to find piece to finish constructing my exercise bike, and Omar was incredibly helpful in finding a substitution for me that I am very positive will work out for me.
I appreciate when folks who work in retail go above and beyond with their customer service!”
“So kind and helpful- they really took their time to help me get the materials needed for a project, cutting lumber down to size and even advising me on how to tweak my measurements to cut overall cost. Definitely way better service and expertise than you will find at Home Depot!”
“I absolutely love the pharmacy! The attention I receive is unmatched. I appreciate the communication about my refills and the staff is so friendly. Best pharmacy!”
