This very well run veterinary clinic is staffed by friendly and efficient vet techs, staff, and office manager. They are always responsive to our calls and our need for veterinary care. I have come to know and highly respect Dr. Welsh. She is smart, thoughtful, thorough, and provides excellent care of our now aging dog. She takes her time, clearly explains the issues, and lays out a treatment plan for whatever the issue. With two additional vets on staff, Lake Placid Animal Hospital will be able to expand the excellent care we have received for so long. Highly recommend.

The Boat Tasting Room
2617 Main Street Ste 4, Lake PlacidStopped in several times on an impromptu bar crawl for my bachelor party on 9/11/26 and 9/12/26. Don was one of the coolest bartenders I've met. He created a great atmosphere and this bar and the rootbeer floats was the talk of the group for the whole trip. We will definitely be back Don!

101 Olympic Drive, Lake PlacidUpon arriving at the Grand View Hotel, we decided to grab a bite at The Great Room, and what a wonderful welcome to Lake Placid it was! We were seated outside with a gorgeous view of Mirror Lake—absolutely perfect.
Our waitress was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable, and the food arrived surprisingly quickly. I ordered the fish tacos and onion soup, my daughter had the chicken quesadillas, and my wife tried the chicken tortilla soup, which was the soup of the day.
Everything arrived hot and fresh, and the meal was absolutely delicious. My fish tacos came loaded with tons of fresh vegetables and were especially satisfying. We all left happy, full, and content.

We got the roasted hot Brussel sprout salad, chili, and roasted veggies soup and a hot mulled wine. The roasted brussels sprouts lacked flavor. I don’t actually think they were roasted. They did have balsamic and a little bit of bacon and some pecans that gave crunch, but the brussels sprouts, which were the star of the show lacked any flavor whatsoever. We also let the person sitting next to us tried and she agreed. The chili was good but not spicy. Their roasted vegetable soup was tasty, but the roasted vegetables, lack depth the flavor. The mold wine was very, very heavy on clove making it almost bitter.
