Pet Stores & Supplies

Man and Beast
2779 Main St, Lake PlacidThis is a great pet store and the employees are super friendly and helpful. They have freaking everything from the treats to brushes etc. Even though it’s not large, they probably have more things than even a big box store like PetSmart. We visited here twice more treats that we couldn’t get at home.

Luna Restaurant
2477 Main St, Lake PlacidA bit of Italia by the lake. That bread, olive oil & salad....excellent. Trout dinner and pasta dinner was nice. Service was friendly and attentive. We had a lovely table at the window, nice perk for an early dinner. This was a delight for car spotting as the Porsche Club of America had its annual parade in town. Hundreds of Porsche's to view. A memorable dinner!

Big Z's at Lake Placid Lanes
2750 Main St, Lake PlacidNot just a bowling alley but a great spot to hang out, play bar games, socialize, and have a drink. The bowling alley itself is on the smaller side, but is beautiful and technologically advanced. A bit on the pricier side for $60 an hour of bowling. Love that there are free games to play like ring hook, darts, shuffle board, and foosball in the bar area with plenty of screens for viewing sporting events. Highly recommend stopping by.

Dancing Bears Restaurant
2404 Main St, Lake PlacidThis spot would be worth it for the views alone! Menu has something for everyone, staff is focused and attentive. Like most fun things in Lake Placid, the parking remains the biggest challenge!

The Cottage at Mirror Lake Inn
77 Mirror Lake Dr, Lake PlacidThe view from the patio is amazing, really enough of a reason to come here. Service is friendly and efficient. Food seems to be a bit of a hit or miss. We got reuben, which was very good, and tuna tacos, which weren't great because they added bbq sauce to delicate ahi tuna, completely masking the taste of the fish. Drink selection was quite good.

Big Slide Brewery & Public House
5686 Cascade Rd, Lake PlacidWe had a great expierence coming through visiting in town, after a nice lake day. Rylan was our server - very kind gentleman. He was attentive, had great suggestions for drinks and food and took great care of us. I got the Chimichangas they were so good. Definitely will be visiting again on the way back through and will be asking for Rylan!

Smoke Signals
2489 Main St, Lake PlacidWe drove all the way from Niagara, Canada just to try Smoke Signals in Lake Placid, and it was absolutely worth it. The brisket was perfectly smoked with a beautiful smoke ring, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The loaded brisket fries were amazing, and the mac and cheese with bacon and cornbread were the perfect sides. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. A special shoutout to Kayla, our server, who was friendly, attentive, and made our visit even better with her excellent service. If you’re in Lake Placid, this place is a must visit for BBQ lovers. We’ll definitely be back.

The Great Room & Mackenzie Restaurant
101 Olympic Dr, Lake PlacidI don’t understand the 3.7 that was my second time there and the oignon soup was as good as the first time ( 10/10 ). The view is great and the restaurant is beautiful. Hard to ask for more than that. I will return for sure.
