“I have been shopping at Korin since 2006. Mostly as an enthusiast, sometimes for occupational reasons. I have had a blade sharpened by the Master too, once. Techniques to sharpen blade and use whetstones differ person to person. Korin is the kind of place which is instrumental and educational. I once forgot to order disposable materials (Teppo Gushi) for service and was overly glad that they were open at 9AM. Either as a "Prosumer", Industry Professional, or just an enthusiast? Korin is worth a visit. Their Whetstone collection is something Always worth browsing.”

My wife and i are extremely happy with the results and with NYKB. In particular, the bathroom is just gorgeous and much more functional than it was before. “Bottom line is that we couldn't be happier with our renovation and fully enjoyed working with Sol and Celia.Here are the details. We purchased our apartment in 3Q 2021. We decided to go with MCKB for a few reasons. First, they had done the renovation of our last apartment (done by previous owner) and we thought their work was first-rate. Second, they were doing another renovation in the building and the owner was very pleased with them. Third, because everything falls under Sol, there is no finger pointing as everything leads back to him.We signed the paperwork in or around December 2022 and handed over the keys for them to begin the renovation on June 11, 2022. We moved back in shortly after Labor Day. The bathrooms were 95% done and the kitchen reached that point in October. By November, everything was 100% done. Right on schedule, despite the many pandemic-related delays, and the work was first rate.Sol and Celia were wonderful to deal with. Thoughtful, responsive, and both possessed of a keen eye for design. To be fair, we did a lot of the design work ourselves, but the suggestions they made from layout to the idea of putting a dry bar into our dining room really made everything sing. We've had a lot of design professionals over to our place and everyone has been wowed.So, in conclusion, easy to deal with and the job came in on time, on budget and beautifully done. What more could you ask for?”

I often find myself just wandering the aisles looking up and down in order to both familiarize myself with the incredible assortment and also find that perfect odd product that I really didn’t know I needed! Between laundry supplies, birthday candles, and an amazing selection of lightbulbs, this really is a one stop shop for amazing houseware needs very close by.”

“I cant say enough good things about knockout renovation! I first used them for my bathroom renovation about 20 years ago. Well, its that time again to renovate my bathroom again. I was extremely impressed with the way ***** has really stepped up his game! He had a designer with impeccable taste whom I worked with and she (*****) paid impressive amount of time with drawings and plenty of ideas. Knockout Renovation is literally a one stop shopping company. Knockout takes care of all the details so you dont have to. They work closely with your co-op & take care of all the paperwork which I hate! I highly recommend Knockout Renovation! ”

“This store is spacious and offers a ton of seasonal merchandise along with plenty of bath kitchen and bedroom staples.While bargains are still to be had, pricing seems to have crept up over the past 3 years to the point where you're often not getting stuff at a discount to other retailers.TJMAX (parent company) has enjoyed enormous success with their business model of buying other retailers unsold good at pennies on the dollar. But in the last 5 to 10 years, many of the big retailers that made up the bulk of their consistent stock of items took note and started in house close out businesses of thier own, which decreased available stock and raised the floor on close out goods.Still fun to treasure hunt, and always easy to find holiday themed decorative goods. But the actual deals are def becoming harder to come by.”

“Frankie went above and beyond his role to help me find a solution instead of selling products in the store's inventory. He even reached out to his team for some recommendations/solutions, and responded on the following day. The cashier was also awesome, he noticed that I was looking for Frankie while checking out another customer and notified Frankie to assist me. I was looking for a faucet adaptor that's no more than a few bucks, and Frankie/his team demonstrated great customer service professionalism in compared with several other plumbing stores which just responded "we don't carry this type of adapters."”

Chris Esguerra was our designer and he is truly the definition of a professional in all aspects of his work. We had some questions on the project details recently and he had the answers to us within the hour. That's 4 years after completion! Eggsersmann truly offers the best in service and a very high end design.”

“I recently purchased an apartment and needed tile for a shower and the bathroom floor. I am so very glad that I decided to go to TileBar over a big box store like Home Depot. I worked with Ellen Gold, who was lovely to deal with and extremely knowledgeable. She gave me feedback regarding what floor tile to match with the shower tile I had chosen, and I am really glad that I followed her recommendation, as what she picked out is way better than what I had chosen. Though some of the tiles were on back order, she told me that she would follow up with their warehouse, and that she was confident the delay would not be too bad - and she was absolutely right. She was communicative every step of the way. I would definitely come back if I ever need tiles for any reason in the future, and will recommend them to everyone I know from here on out.”
