“This place became an essential source of basic supplies during quarantine, and once the city opened back up I kept shopping there because their selection of affordable basics is impressive. Even though the prices are affordable a lot of the products are not poor quality. You'll (sometimes) find brand names like Ziploc, Reynolds, Dawn - all cheaper than Amazon or Target. Masks, hand sanitizer, and GOOD household cleaners and disinfectants are all plentiful. Their tool section is also really great, door stops, rope, screwdrivers, batteries, wrenches, hammers, nails and screws. They have tons of kitchen supplies as well as glassware. Also underwear and socks, hair products. And random things like magnets with funny faces and gaudy pictures of glittery flowers. They pack a lot into a very small space and it's always very organized. And the cashiers are always very nice!”

“You can't beat the prices. Sometimes they have great brands of clothes and cleaning supplies. The Christmas decorations are awesome and arranged by color. Courteous cashiers and clean and well lit store. Great shopping experience!”

“Save money I seen the store but did not realize we had access to it. Fifty cent juices and sodas high end water nice prices on groceries save (.50-1.00) off pasta name brands. Items from Trader Joe's, Target slightly damaged box not open when I say slight little dent. Paper towels, napkins nice. Ninja products etc. Go guys”

“The store is very affordable and has a very very wide assortment of products, even more than many larger discount stores. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because the layout of the store can be a bit too cramped and the customer service here is a bit weak. Make sure you have everything you need before you get ready to pay because they do tend to rush you even if there are no others behind you.”

Brings back memories of Lechters from awhile back, and, for those who remember way way back, the original McCrory's or Woolworths (minus the food counter). A truly welcome addition. Also, in this photo with arrow I marked the extension direction, I am glad they plan to span this store to sell more items = more attractive to crowds. And I am happy that that cheap-looking computer/smartphone repair store is not next door anymore as it prevents this wonderful discount store from being a best business place in Ridgewood.”

“Fun store to explore. It's like a dollar store, but Japanese! Lot's of cute school supplies and decor items, pastel colors, snacks too. Prices are 1.99 onwards but lotss of items between 1.99-5.99. Definitely worth a visit. I end up leaving with something fun and useful each time!”

“This Five Below is clean, well stocked and has that new store smell everyone loves! They have lots of seasonal stuff already! The staff is nice, greets you up on entry and exit and is pretty upbeat! This store is one of the many transformations post COVID in the Ditmars shopping zone.”

“It was honestly the best place to shop in my opinion, it has great service, extremely nice stuff and cashiers, I have been going there for 10 years and it has never failed me as the number one store to shop, I honestly love going there , I am an introvert so it's really rare to see me like socializing with others and they make me feel safe, and there products are fresh and delicious and have owned up to it's taste, favorite place to shop. I would totally recommend this place for everything, I am a clean freak and this place is kept clean 24/7, so yeah I absolutely love and adore his place and would recommend! Thank you for reading! I've been going there for 10 years and it has never failed me as my number one shopping store. “I wish this had existed when I lived in Rego Park since it's right off the main drag of Forest Hills. In fact, I remember the days when there was no Five Below at all in NYC so this was a nice random find. Now it's definitely not as nice and doesn't seem to have as much as the location in Manhattan or maybe even the one in Long Island City but the staff was friendly and helpful though very much a presence as I was merely browsing to get a feel for the selection and what might be different from the stock in Manhattan or Long Island City. I didn't see any of the 50 cent water bottles so that was a letdown but I did get a needed phone charging cord that still works. Five Below in general has increased prices and I have less need for items there so it's not been the same for me as in years past but if you need a phone charging cord or some candy bars you can't find so easily (like Mallow Cups) then it's definitely worth the trip.”

“Discount store that really has a lot to Discounted stuff. Buy from them often and probably spend WAY too much money there but life is short and I do need MOST of the things. Staff is friendly and helpful. Store well stocked, fairly neat and is clean. I guess I feel I hit the Jackpot when I go there because I keep going back. Location is good on Metropolitan Avenue. Parking is limited and traffic can be a bear at times.”

“They usually only keep 1-2 people as cashiers - but that's not the issue, apparently it's supposed to be self checkout or something? It always asks a question at the end, something related to the customer service or the cleanliness of that location. We don't even get a speak in answering to that, they just clear it off as soon as it comes, immediately putting a 5-star to those categories. Think it needs some improve, clearly lacks customer input and feedback.”
