Pause Dog Boutique
6423 Montgomery St #3, RhinebeckI recently had the opportunity to spend some time in Pause Boutique. The owner, Sammy, was friendly and knowledgeable. She greeted each customer with a smile. Sammy is very knowledgeable and carries a wide variety of high quality dog snacks to satisfy every canine palate regardless of allergy or personal preference. She also carries a huge selection on leashes, beds, coats and toys all for your canine's comfort and pleasure. I highly recommend taking the time to peruse her happy little establishment. You, and your four legged friend, will be glad you did.

Pet Care

Rhinebeck Equine, LLP
26 Losee Ln, RhinebeckWe had to bring our horse here for emergency care under very stressful circumstances (we came from eastern ct in the middle of the night due to capacity issues at Tufts), but they were terrific and very caring. Fees very reasonable for emergency care as well. Our girl is back here with us and we’re so glad rhinebeck was here for us.

Pet Sitting & Training

Canine Confidence Center
30 Old Bulls Head Rd, RhinebeckVery grateful for Mike! I called him in a panic for a tough situation with both of my dogs. He was quick to develop a plan of action to help both my dogs and I. He is calm, compassionate, and wants the best for everyone & all animals involved. I was very impressed with the progress we have made in our time with Mike. He is the very first person I call when I have any behavioral concerns. I highly recommend Mike for all your training needs!

The Tasting Room Restaurant
3767 NY-9G, RhinebeckI came here for a family event - two couples. I had not done any research ahead of time so I was a little surprised at the laid back greeting we received when we arrived. We were introduced and met Chef Daniel, and our waiter Kas, and led inside to a cosy and quaint restaurant setting in the basement.
We were the only ones there, although there were a few other tables decorated with linens and flowers. Off season, I thought. And then the fun began.
We were there to celebrate and so we did. We started with a round of cocktails. Our Chef and Kaz played bar tender. The menu was limited, so we ordered one of each appetizer, one of each entree (except for the quail) and one of each dessert.
The crab cakes, endive, beet salad and bread basket were excellent. The wine list was also limited but had good representatives. We ordered one bottle of malbec and another of vermentino. Both satisfied. We had the serloin, tagliatelle and two fish entrees. Presentation was beautiful, flavor and temperature was on point, and prortion size was perfect.
The chef and waiter eventually sat at an adjacent table for their own dinners and we started up a conversation with them. We learned their stories and they learned ours.
It was fun watching our dinners being prepared. The personal service and interaction were unique and memorable.
The matcha ice cream, chocolate pot a cream, Parisian cake, and baked Nebraska (fantastic presentation) were served, along with very old single malt scotches to cap off the evening.
A great time was had by all and the evening was not rushed (we were there for nearly three hours). If I am ever in the area again, I would go back. I wonder if Chef Daniel would take requests with enough advanced notice and ingredient availability.
Highly recommend.

The Kroeg Rhinebeck
41 E Market St, RhinebeckWent with a group for trivia and the place gets packed. They have some local brews on tap and plenty of specialty beers in the cooler. They do offer some snack foods, pretty much finger foods nothing special. They do allow outside food. It’s a cool spot to hang out in. The service was great and we will go back.

Cinnamon Indian cuisine
51 E Market St, RhinebeckThe place looks great, the food was generally good. The eggplant was very tasty, and the naan too, but the fish goan curry was a bit overcooked and the curry was extremely thin and bland. The paratha was delicious, soft yet crispy, and buttery. The palak chaat was surprisingly refreshing and pretty good. The lamb cubes were chewy, but otherwise the flavor was great, sour and heavily spiced.
The staff was very attentive even in a busy night. I'm not looking to be pampered, but I appreciate when restaurants make sure customers feel taken care of.
