“Like ShopRite, Trader Joe's caters to vegans thanks to the different options available. It's easily accessible by the train and the bus. Accessible via the B41, B45, B63, and B65 buses, the 2/3/4/5 and R trains (at Borough Hall). It's amazing. Located at the corner of Court Street and Atlantic Avenue.”

“If you need a sign of a phenomenal sub shop in the area… this is it. I met the owners who are amazing humans. My sub was fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, chicken cutlets, and balsamic and it was truly out of this world. I mean the sandwich was unreal. Quality of food, people, even the macaroni salad are unmatched. My #1 sub shop!!!”

“Service is quick and straightforward. Servers always welcoming and friendly. I come all the way downtown to get this soft serve which is the BEST VEGAN SOFT SERVE by far I've tried around. They have the vanilla flavor often and a seasonal flavor. You can ask it swirl if you like. Can't never go run with this Ice cream. There's available sitting indoors and outdoors for anyone's preferences. The ambience indoor is mellow and nice background music always playing. Definitely give it a try!!!”

“Solid local artisan cheese shop. They have a wonderful assortment of hot sauces, drinks, snacks, dips, condiments, etc. Their OG Krystal? crystal? Is sublime. I was not aware cheese could have a chewy texture to it. That may not sound appetizing but it was worth every cent!Come here for the grilled cheese it’s a little wait but worth it! Anytime I come the staff is knowledgeable but more-so helpful.I was surprised they sold Maldon Sea Salt Flakes I had in Scotland that was not an arm and a leg.I bought a bunch of things here for my wedding anniversary and my husband loved everything! This would be a better cheese pull video but I didn’t eat it until I walked about 20 minutes home. *just to give you an idea of how delicious their grilled cheese is!”

“I love shopping at this small family owned business. My wife and I come here for produce a couple times per week. Their produce is noticeably better than all of the grocery stores in the area. My guess is they have a longstanding relationship with the local suppliers because they always seem to have the best produce. Additionally the owners are so nice. And as others have mentioned, the homemade kimchi is fantastic. I'm so glad I tried it, as it's a weekly purchase now.”

“This place is great. I usually come here for my weekly shopping visits. Most of the stuff sold by Trader joe's is store brand, but it's a very good quality. Prices are also pretty reasonable considering where the stores are located.”

“This little restaurant is incredible. Not a fancy place, but home cooked by the family. We now go once a week. Menu changes daily. The 85 year-old grandma and her family start cooking at 4am each day. Amazing....All the favorites from the old country. Soups, fresh baked bread, ravioli, chicken, meatballs, sausage, pastas, too many to name and desserts like canolis and homemade cookies. I rarely say this, but this is the best Italian food I ever tasted. Plus they will pack up containers to take home. Just like my grandma's. Incredible and very nice people. Rare find.”

“What a bomb Italian grocery shop! Our friends told us about this place so we drove a good chunk to come here and it was definitely worth it.Delicious Italian cheeses brought us back home and also certain prepackaged cookies and snacks totally warmed our hearts. It's a rather large grocery store where you'll find all kinds of Italian things from cheese to pasta, everything is imported from Italy. We loved the semi stagionato cheese and took home a lot of delicious black pepper cheese. Loved finding many different things I normally don't while bringing back some nostalgic things we love. If I'm in the area again I'll for sure make a quick stop here, totally worth it.”

“Thanksgiving Catered! Thank you so much for the delicious Turkey that was well seasoned and cooked perfectly (turkey was super easy to reheat)! The sides, Greens beans, Stuffing and the gravy just as good! Ordering online was easy and pick up was even simpler. I was also able to grab 2 pies while I was picking up my order. I was also tempted to grab a few other prepared items that caught my eye like the shrimp cocktail platter and stuffed mushrooms! Will be back thanks again!”

“Good food. Not cheap though (considering it is a small store and not a mid tier restaurant). Cash only, also think twice before using the ATM outside, it has crazy charges.Order rotis carefully, they are huge.Their food tastes good but make sure you consume it the same day as it builds a sour kind of taste (unlike food from other places which easily lasts for a day)”

“I am a loyal customer and come here for 99% of my pantry needs. They have some of the best nuts I’ve ever tried (especially their roasted almonds and cashews), huge fan of the Turkish apricots and their figs are always soft. They have a great selection of spices, Ayurvedic medicines, and grains & legumes. I also buy their rotis and love making wraps with them. As a home cook they stock my kitchen! And the staff are always very helpful, if you’re looking for something in particular or have an ailment that you need a remedy for.”

“An unbelievable gastronomic wonderland!! A local gem that needs to be experienced to be believed…what they do is akin culinary alchemy…fusing ingredients in new and tantalizing ways, such as salmon arancini and a delectable focaccia sammy stuffed with greens, ricotta and these marvelous tiny yet crunchy mushrooms (just naming only two of the amazing concoctions I’ve personally sampled amidst a myriad of other incredible offerings!!)…you’ll “umm” and “ooo” with every bite!! Their chief “Wizardress” Paige brings a level of artistry you don’t often see on a “storefront” level and it’s yet another great NYC institution that needs to be patronized and supported lest our fair Gotham degenerates into a massive “Panera-bucks”!! And, oh, they have ethereal baked goods, other yummies, hard to find cookbooks, events, cooking classes, good vibes, nice folks and MORE!!! Go visit this veritable Garden of Epicurean Delights…you’ll feel renewed as a sentient being!!!”

“Delicious Panini’s. I’d recommend the Torino ?. Coffee is excellent and they have a beautiful outdoor space at the back that is quiet and surrounded by greenery. Don’t miss the Italian food market as you walk in, they have some amazing ingredients and meat and cheeses from Italy. To top it all, the staff are friendly and helpful.”

“I had searched for Greek Feta Cheese (Dedonia) and this was the ONLY place in all of Manhattan that had it. They have the freshest foods. The three guys who work there are excellent in service and knowledge. They have all been there for the over 20 years I have been going there. I am so grateful I found this place. THE BEST.”

“I drive all the way from the other side of Brooklyn for this chicken parm hero. My grandma was in the neighborhood forever and the nostalgia of a Carlo’s Hero and an ice cold Coke is so powerful. I’m so glad the family keeps the deli open its an icon.”

“The first time for grocery shopping this place. I saw and heard a lot of good reviews, so I am very excited to shop there. There are many choices, mediterranean and turkish groceries.I like Turkish coffee, so I got it and spinach and cheese pie. Those are really good. There are so many choices. I really recommend this place. Should go and check them out.”

“More space and brighter, compared to their previous location which was very tight. Still a small store so can find needs but not an extensive variety. There's a rewards card which can earn you $20 discount after 100 stamps (1 stamp per $10 purchase). Tip: if you forgot your rewards card, have your receipt stamped and bring it back the next time to be added to your card. Helpful staff. Have been enjoying the riceballs from here - less than $3 each. Seaweed wrapper is separate until ready to eat. Haven't tried their other cooked food items.”

“Finding a quick lunch spot on a rainy day can be quite a challenge, given the abundance of choices in the area. However, despite my initial hesitation, choosing this particular place turned out to be the best decision. From the moment we stepped inside until the moment we left, it was evident that the family who owned this small business put in a tremendous amount of hard work. This hidden gem is an absolute must-try for everyone. It was a pleasure interacting with the daughter, son, and the mom, who served as both the owner and cook.Being a foodie and chef myself, I couldn't resist approaching the owner and asking her to surprise me with her recommendations. She delighted me with two delicious pupusas, a mouthwatering breakfast burrito, and a delectable baleada. These choices were absolutely fantastic. On my next visit, I am definitely going to try the beef soup and the Cuban, which unfortunately were sold out this time. It's no surprise that everyone was craving soup on such a rainy day. And let's not forget about the addictive passion fruit or mango smoothie!Overall, this place exceeded my expectations and left me craving for more. It's a true gem that deserves all the recognition it can get.”

“Probably the best burrito in Manhattan and compared to what’s in SLC. We were visiting from SLC and came across this Mexican market. I wouldn’t say this is a full experience restaurant but a market with a handful of tables where you can enjoy the best burritos out there. Service was excellent. Very accommodating to our 4 people family. They even brought us some sweet bread on the house. Just amazing.”

“One of the best places food shopping. A delightful selection of produce, cheese. dairy, meats, wine, prepared foods, bread, and baked goods especially their tiramisu, pistachio biscotti and muffin tops. Enjoy visiting whenever I get a chance and when I need to get something prepared in a pinch.”

“I loved it! Their extensive cheese selection is impressive. Appreciate the free parking for an hour or less while shopping. The staff I interacted with were helpful. I do wish they had a broader vegetable selection, though.”

“My family and I have been shopping at Adam's for countless years. The store is a small hidden gem of a corner deli stocked with wonderfully, authentic, Polish delicacies. The food is incredibly consistent, and you would be hard-pressed to find better pierogi or kielbasa. The kielbasa is perfectly smoked and the pierogi have an excellent texture to them. My friends with Polish backgrounds also shop here regularly, insistent that there is nothing more authentic than this store in the area. The service is fast and efficient and the store is well-kept and clean. They also speak English, so communicating is never difficult. Recommended!”

“Oh my god Reyes is an absolute gem. I got the Al pastor burrito toro bravo (rice beans pico jalapeño cheese) and it’s one of the best burritos I’ve had in NYC.Also their chips are so fresh and salsa (which they sell separately if you want a little jar) is so good—flavorful and smokey and fresh. Can’t wait to come back.”

“This place is quite good if you get the right stuff. Not the best chicken cutlets, but everything else I’ve gotten has been top tier. This picture is their 101 that’s like a Reuben with boars head turkey and bacon on ”

“I loved visiting this store for the environmental aspect. Packaged products are an epidemic throughout our country and Precycle helps to solve this issue. The truth is that so many people are used to packaged products that stores like Precycle will likely be rare. I hope that this changes as more people are open-minded and environmentally-conscious enough to support businesses like this.”
