“I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I ought to know because I’ve been coming here for 37 years. The lady that was a bad clerk years ago is no longer there because her husband left her and went back to Korea by himself and then she retired. The staff now is very nice and accommodating. I’ve seen many employees even retire at this place through the years , that’s how long I’ve been coming here.I have nothing but good things to say.it’s also a safe place to get my eBay packages delivered. Too many porch pirates ( thieves) in the building I currently reside in .”
“I visited this location on April 1, 2025, and had an outstanding experience, despite not being from the area. The highlight of my visit was the exceptional customer service provided by a gentleman named Will. He went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and made me feel very welcome. It's rare to encounter such personalized and attentive service. I highly recommend this place, all thanks to the fantastic service from Will!”
“I had the first time passport application here. showed up little early than the appointment time. No lines. Shayne was the clerk who took care of my application, very professional and with lots of patience. The process was quick, around 15 minutes. There's 15 minutes street parking in front of the post office, and 1 hour parking in the area. I had no problem with finding parking.”
“I went to this location on last Saturday to apply for my son passport and supervisor come out and asking me what we came for today nicely and warmly. After that he told us to go to first window. The Asian lady ( sorry I forget the name ) she is very friendly and help us very quickly. Done a few minutes. I am very satisfied with customer service. I give all stars to the post office locate in sunny side. If anyone wants to apply to passport or want to send someone parcel, come to this location . They were very friendly customer service.”

“Today was the first time going to this post office. I usually go to the big one off of Hillside and 164th and it's always a very unpleasant experience. I chose differently today and decided to go to this branch on Austin street. They had enough people behind the counter and my agent was a superstar. He helped me find the best price for shipping my package, helped me choose the right box and he made sure I didn't have to wait in line a second time! This is now my new post office!”
“I did my son’s passport here. I loved the privacy that was created in this location. They have a whole separate room for passports. Ladies taking the applications were knowledgeable and nice. “I have a PO Box at this location, and was expecting a package. However, the tracking info was giving me a different PO location.
I went to the window and had the pleasure of speaking to Mr. Javier Velazquez. Mr. Velazquez listened and explain to me in detail the process, why I was receiving a different PO location. He checked my info and retrieved my package. I left the PO with my package (I thought it lost).
Mr. Velazquez wasn't nasty and didn't have an attitude. He was very helpful and informative.

“The gentleman that has been there for years is carrying this post office on his back!! He’s the nicest person I have ever encountered that works at a post office. Usually these people are rude and disgusting for no reason. I forgot his name but he is a light skinned black man. I ship packages at least 10 times a week and I specifically stand and wait for him. He should train these incoming employees so they can see how to treat people. Give him a raise immediately!”
“I think this Post Office in Queens offers the best service. The staff is courteous and go above and beyond to make sure your paper work is in order. “My family has resided on 139 th st and Linden blvd. since the early fifties. In all that time we have had many postmen/women. Of them all Gordon was the best. Unfortunately he is retiring, leaving a large hole to fill. They have sent a few people but only one stands out. His name is Jeremiah. He is warm, courteous and delivers all your mail and packages with a smile. I believe he is a younger version of our beloved Gordon. Please consider leaving him on this route. This particular post office needs all the good will it can get”
“The manager is the only one working today 2/24/2026 and she is sick a pleasant lady. Greets everyone and very accommodating even though she is the only one working. 5/5 customer service”
“My wife and I had to send something over night so we stopped by this post office. It was my first time sending anything overnight so I was a little confused. My wife and I looked at the area where you could get those priority envelopes but couldn't find anything for overnight. My wife asked the clerk, who was really friendly, and they gave us one from behind the counter. The clerk gave us instructions on what to write and informed us that, since it was a long weekend, it wouldn't be delivered till tuesday.
We did what we had to do on our end, handed it back to the clerk, she followed up with some questions to confirm things like address and name, I paid and we were out the door.
All in all, really pleasant experience.”
