“This is a really nice enough store. The big problem is this location isn't in what I'd describe as a Five Star one. This place did a brisk business while I was there. For some reason the customers could sense that I wasn't part of their community. Must have been the lack of having a red neck and a body covered in tattoos! LOL! Got the evil eye from everyone! Back to more relevant things; the parking was clean and not trashy at all. Prices for gasoline were surprisingly not as high as I expected as North Carolina has a very large gas tax! This stop on the outskirts of Shelby, N.C. and is deserving of four stars. As mentioned; just be aware of what's taking place around you! Ps. I don't mind red necks and totally tattooed people! I just don't like to be outnumbered by any category of folks!”
“This is a one of a kind wonderful business. My dog gets so excited when I pull in because he knows he'll be given a treat. Great sundrop slushies and perfect gummy bears. I've been giving them business for over a decade. All the staff are just wonderful!! One of my favorite places ever.”
“Just wanted to let everybody know that we close at 10:00 p.m every night! Holidays may vary if we're open on that particular day!! I put in a request to google on a time change review, and I'm not sure if it has went through yet or not!? Either way, you can catch me here closing almost every night!! So if you happen to get out and about around the area, stop on by and come holla at ya boy for your tobacco and grocery necessities ??”
“Kindest most wonderful human beings. Our family was on a hike and it's a hot day. One of us couldn't make it so we drove to the nearest thing, which was Village Pantry. We were a nervous mess, my cousin was laid out in the middle of the floor and we were trying to cool her down and help her with her muscle spasms. It was so scary. *Everybody* at Village Pantry rushed to help us without hesitation. They brought us a fan, gave us ice, water, and Gatorade. They called the ambulance for us. They didn't leave our side and they gave us full human brotherly/sisterly love. They really took care of us. We will never forget their kindness. Even after the ambulance came, they checked on the rest of us and how we were holding up. Sweetest kindest people ever. Beautiful lovely humans. Thank you for all of the kindness you showed us.”

“Ok so if you go to the WEST D ST CVS PHARMACY, you can expect to be treated with kindness and respect!!! Sheila the Pharmacist IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! The ladies that work the store registers are absolutely amazing as well! I have NOTHING bad to say about this CVS! If you've had a bad experience, then maybe it was just you having a bad day! I have those often.....so it's just life. But if you're respectful the Pharma& Store personal WILL BEND BACKWARDS TO FIX AN ISSUE, KJT”
“This is a 5 star food truck: All Day Long! The menu is diversified. They offer some of the best beef hash that you've ever put in your mouth! They also have great BBQ! Mr. Eddie makes these two items himself and they are in a class of their own! Eddie's Food Truck is permanently located in the same parking lot as the Old Post General Store! They also serve wonderful hamburgers and cheeseburgers! It's been awhile since I've tried these as I'm currently very much addicted to their footlong hotdogs! Eddie's chili : it fantastic! It's got some special ingredient that I can't identify! It's something so special that it makes people travel a great distance to enjoy! This place gets really crowded really fast! I caught it today just as it opened and customers were already ahead of me! OhMyGosh! If I didn't think that Eddie would remember me I'd go back and get two more of those off the star meter footlong's ! Ever had hotdogs that were that good? “This was a necessary stop for gasoline. It's a very clean store inside and outside. It's located directly beside Hwy 74. Easy in and easy out. The gas prices were a bit more than I like to pay but it was necessary if I didn't want to walk for fuel. The interior of this place was well stocked and the floors were clean. The gasoline prices here are pretty well aligned with their competitors! The gas tax in N.C. is higher than in my home state of S.C. I would make a stop here again.”

“820 North DeKalb street Shelby N.C. walgreens is the worst unethical, rude, disrespectful Pharmacy I've ever had to deal with. They do not care about their customers at all. customers is never right even if its plain as sight they are in the wrong. fail to fill meds on time and or sick and closed or no pharmacist to work and closed. Never can get meds right. I would trust a veterinarian quicker then I would trust them or any Walgreens in Shelby N.C.”

“Frank is a unique individual. He has a deli where pizza is made, along with other items. He has slot machines for the moment and a relaxing atmosphere. Frank gets a constant amount of people from every race. You wont feel out of place here. Frank is not a typical southerner. He is originally from another country yet treats most customers with respect and diginity. He has gas and drinks.”

“Grew up visiting this store and they have some of the nicest people working here! The biscuits in the morning are always terrific. We order pizza a lot and it is always good. When I go into Earls I know I will always see a kind employee.”
