The Pet Place
240 Shadowline Dr, BooneMy boyfriend and I have two pups who LOVE getting to visit this amazing shop! The owner (I’m not 100% sure but the woman who’s always there) is phenomenal at her job!! When our youngest pup had a bad accident with his paw pads, she recommended the best cream and gave us advice on how to handle the issue. His paws were feeling better two days later! I can’t recommend this place enough!!

Fetching Ridge Pet Hotel & Spa
520 Moretz Rd, BooneI drop my dog off and pick her up 8 hours later. She is still alive and sleeps most of the next day. She either really enjoys herself or they have her pulling a plow like an oxen all day. I get pics that make it look like she is having a great time but I guess that could be AI. Who really knows for sure.

Pet Care

Watauga Veterinary Hospital
2531 US-421, BooneMy dog and I both really love this place and the wonderful care Dr. Fair provides! However, their business hours make it really hard for me to come in. They are only open until 5pm and no weekends. How are working people supposed to find the time? I have been trying to get my dog in for awhile but literally cannot find time within their business hours. Most vet offices in town are open until 6! Would really love to stay here because of the quality of care and kindness but their hours make it to where I HAVE to take off work and many people can't.

Appalachian New River Veterinary Associates
218 Wilson Dr, BooneI want to start by saying, I realize everybody’s entitled to their own opinion but my wife and I absolutely positively love this place. My wife and I and our two puppies went up to North Carolina in Boone to visit our family. Unfortunately, one of our puppies was already sick and we realized that we needed to put him to sleep. My aunt knew of this place, and we could not have been happier, even though it was an unbelievably sad situation. The office staff was outstanding. I wish I knew everybody’s name, from the office staff to the tech everything was outstanding this is how things of this sensitive nature should be handled. Dr. Hayes is outstanding the medications that this facility uses in this type of a procedure is incredible. The dog doesn’t feel any pain and I can’t begin to tell you how grateful my wife and I are in this sad experience that we were able to find such a professional and kind loving people in the veterinary profession my wife and I happen to live in Florida, but if we lived in Boone, we would definitely definitely use this facility You absolutely cannot go wrong with bringing your pets to this veterinarian.

Pet Sitting & Training

Woof Pack Pet Services
410 Appaloosa Trail, BooneWoof Pack is a Top Shelf dog - training, daycare, Training take care, boarding group! I just finished their Superdog Training sessions for my young lab and I was blown away without professional yet Personal Melissa‘s training sessions were. My young pup had a mind of her own and I figured we were in for a rough time. I was astounded at how attentive she was and totally dialed in to Melissa‘s training techniques. We also started using her daycare and that socialization has totally turned around the way our dog gets along with other dogs.
The entire staff is incredibly friendly and very dialed in with your dog. All extremely capable and the best of the best when it comes to taking care of your dog and teach teaching critical skills.

Noble Kava
114 Clement St #106, Boone?Noble Kava in Boone is definitely a warm and cozy spot to hang out. Kava and Kava bars in general are perfect for when you want to unwind but don’t want to make bad decisions or get plastered out of your mind. The drinks are made quickly and are actually quite palatable considering how bitter and gross kava can be in its drinkable root form. You can come in and play music with friends, have some drinks, chat and just have a good time without any of the downsides you would get from drinking/going to an alcohol bar. Everything was priced fairly cheap as well in comparison to what most bars outside of the pacific typically charge. They also have kratom drinks and the much lesser known akuamma tree, its seeds have very similar alkaloids to kratom. The staff were very nice to us when we stopped by, and I never felt judged or uneasy. Super cool people, super cool place, highly recommend if you’re stopping by or live in Boone!?

Country Retreat Family Billiards & Grill
9021 NC-105 S, BooneI noticed a place for billiards and grill while driving by on 105. I was hungry for lunch and decided to try it. They had a long eating counter and many seats. It was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and it was delicious. The menu covered a wide range of lunch and dinner items. I highly recommend this place. I understand that their Friday fish dinners are fantastic and I plan to return there soon.

Wild Craft Eatery
506 W King St, BooneGot to caught up with a high school friend here the other night. The food and service was excellent! We will definitely be goin back if we get the opportunity. The only downsides of the experience was that they do not have any drinks on draft, and the outdoor seating can be loud due to the road. All in all an amazing place with amazing people, please go support!
