“April is an absolute gem. I sent an inquiry in via their website and she called me directly to check on my dates and reservation needs. Provided answers for everything I needed to know and then asked what was appropriate for following up. I ended up with an extremely busy week and then finally had a chance to stop by to view a unit and she quickly obliged even though I mixed up their closing time. I left with a booked unit and next steps. This has been a flawless process so far and much appreciated as moves themselves can be stressful. Everything was wrapped and packed with care, and there was no damage to any of our belongings. I was very satisfied with the quality of the move itself.
A few general tips that apply to any mover (Roma included): pack as much as you can beforehand, and let the crew know which items matter most to you and which don’t. In my case, I was busy cleaning and didn’t realize the movers had painstakingly wrapped a giant, old IKEA bookcase that was only headed for the garage. I had several items like that where such careful prep wasn’t really necessary. This wasn’t the movers’ fault, but if you want maximum efficiency and value, it helps to sort out what needs extra protection and what doesn’t before or during the move.
Because of this, my move took a little longer and cost a bit more than I expected—again, no fault of Roma. Overall, though, they’re a true five-star outfit, and I would gladly use them again.”
