She showed me a dog halter that was supposed to keep him from pulling ( 80 lbs Doberman) She even got down in the floor to put it on my dog and adjusted it to his size. She told me to walk him around the store to see if it helped. The halter worked like magic? It is going to make a huge difference in our walks!! I had worked for a rescue for years. So to say my vet & I were close was an understatement. Transferring to north meck I knew I had found their vet clinic the second I stepped in their beautiful welcoming facility. To say I was impressed coming from a small mom/pop vet back home was an understatement. But my review today comes from the love & care I received today after having to put my first pup to sleep after 15 years with him. He wa the most incredible pup and deserved the most dignified passing. Dr blackard helped me work through options & when they failed she was the most compassionate soul walking me through end of life care & giving me clarity on this decision. Unfortunately , she wasn't in today to be the one to help me say goodbye to cowboy. But Dr Renehan was. To say she treated my dog as one of her own is also and understatement. The way she spoke to me , my mom , and my pup walking us though everything and being as sensitive & loving as possible as if cowboy was her own changed my life. I didn't want cowboy to walk into the clinic as he hates being at the vet. They allowed me to do a beautiful peaceful passing out back on their grounds on a picnic table. He never was afraid. I believe in my heart that these two drs do what they do to give dog parents and their pets the most love possible during their hardest moments. Thank you for changing my life today. I can sleep tonight knowing cowboy left this world the way he lived it- peaceful , loving , and dignified.

10228 Bailey Road Suite 201, CorneliusEleven Lakes Brewing in Cornelius, North Carolina, is a perfect reminder that some of the most enjoyable brewery experiences can be found in the most unexpected places. Hidden inside a building marked as a storage facility and surrounded by storage units, it would be easy to pass right by without ever knowing what was inside. Once through the door, however, the brewery opens into a comfortable and inviting space with a mixture of high-top and low-top seating, a welcoming bar, and a larger adjoining room filled with couches and picnic-style tables. Buffalo Bills decorations, televisions, and a shuffleboard table give the place a relaxed sports-bar atmosphere without taking away from its identity as a neighborhood craft brewery. What impressed me most, though, was the hospitality. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our visit, while another lady, whom I believed to be the manager or owner, kept busy making sure customers had pretzels and anything else they needed. When we asked about nearby restaurants, the bartender took the time to walk us through several options, adding another personal touch to an already pleasant experience.
Of course, no brewery visit would be complete without sampling the beer, and Eleven Lakes Brewing gave me several enjoyable choices. With beer, wine, cider, seltzers, and non-alcoholic drinks available, along with Michael Waltrip Brewing beers through its Signature Bar partnership, there is something for just about everyone. My usual four-beer flight included Terri's Berry Ale, Orange Pale Ale, Northern Aggression, and High Banx, with an additional sample of Bristol Sunshine. Terri's Berry Ale and Northern Aggression both earned very good ratings, but Northern Aggression was my clear favorite of the visit. The remaining selections were all good and made the flight a worthwhile experience. Looking back, what I will remember most about Eleven Lakes Brewing is not the unusual location or even my favorite beer, but the comfortable atmosphere and the genuine friendliness of the people working there. It was an easy place to settle into, enjoy a few beers, and simply relax. Sometimes that is exactly what I am looking for when visiting a brewery, and Eleven Lakes Brewing certainly delivered.

21234 Catawba Avenue, CorneliusAfter visiting a nearby bakery this morning, I finally popped in to check out The Coffeeshop, and I was warmly greeted by Rachel and Molly, who were both so friendly and welcoming.
Before I even introduced myself as a top Google Local Guide, they made me feel right at home. We chatted about their coffee, which is sourced from Night Swim Coffee in Charlotte, as well as the fact that they support two local bakeries.
I was also really impressed by the space itself, including the outdoor seating. It has such a welcoming atmosphere, and I’ll definitely have to try and come back one evening with my husband for drinks. I’m hoping they make a good mocktail!

Cornelius Animal Shelter
19110 Meridian St, CorneliusFreya ( 14 Yrs Old) , a inside cat for 8 years escaped at my son's home in Huntersville. Cornelius Animal shelter was closest, I bought donations and was greeted by a warm and knowledgeable Volunteer. Told him Freya had been a rescue for 6 years, did not like to be picked up but gentle.I felt trapping her was the best method since she was spotted by a neighbor nearby. The County Animal control was out within a an hour with a trap. We moved it to the neighbor's yard with his permission and put her towel inside trap. The 3 rd day with her towel. Freya was captured. I cannot say enough for Cornelius Animal shelter immediate action contacting the Huntersville Animal Control, whose quick response , I believed save my rescue cat. I also extend my gratitude to the neighbor who spotted Freya and let my family search for almost 16 days in his backyard. Thank you , for all your kindness , and caring, Shelly QW
