Summit Coffee Basecamp
128 S Main St, DavidsonStopped in on a Friday afternoon for a quick pick me up. Small line, only about 4 minutes to get my coffee. Some set up going on outside for a market type event but otherwise pretty quiet. Only one person sitting inside downstairs, likely because it was so beautiful outside. My espresso was a bit bland and not too hot. I asked for double (twice) but was charged for and received a single. Lemon berry scone was a bit undersized, but this was acknowledged by the cashier and he gave me a small discount without asking. Just a really nice atmosphere, inside and out. As always the staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful to all 7 patrons I encountered.

Carrburritos in Davidson

I love the changing leaves and cooler temperatures, but the very best part is the welcoming back of Souper Saturday at Carburritos!!! Each and every week a new soup is prepared from scratch. Each soup is so flavorful and packed with ingredients that it's literally the main course. I love, love soup! Never, ever have I had a bowl of soup anywhere else that doesn't leave me wishing I had a grilled cheese to call it a meal. I look forward to the post on either Facebook or instagram each Saturday morning to see how they are going to reinvent my favorite meal once again. I especially like that the soups are commonly made so that you can add a protein if desired at a moments notice. This works well, especially when we sometimes meet our friends for dinner that have dietary restrictions. If you love soup as much as me, you must absolutely race to Carburritos each and every Saturday through the Fall and Winter!

Mestizo Contemporary Mexican Cuisine
121 N Main St, DavidsonMestizo is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Charlotte restaurant so it felt fitting to give them a long overdue review on Cinco de Mayo. They have a great location right in downtown Davidson, so their patio is a wonderful place to have dinner with friends on a nice evening. They serve delicious tacos on warm corn tortillas and their meats are deliciously seasoned. Don't sleep on their burritos either their cowboy burrito is the bomb! I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often but during the summer if I find myself with friends in the Lake Norman area I always recommend this spot for dinner.
