“I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Big Spoon. I have been buying their nut butters from their humble beginnings at the Durham farm market. Every time I try a new flavor, I say it is now my favorite! Right now it is crowded at the top of my list. I love Bourbon Pecan and hope they bring it back. My long-time favs are Lemon Coconut (now renamed Lemon Cookie) and Pistachio Crunch. Right now Cowgirl Cookie is at the top of the list and I start my day with a big spoonful before I leave for my long walk with the dog in the morning.”
“This is a very clean and well stocked Palestinian owned Middle Eastern grocery store. The owner are very nice and always extremely helpful and generous. If you want a product that you don't see on the shelves, they seem very willing to start carrying the item for you. This store is a hidden gem, absolutely recommend exploring this place!”
“During the worst of COVID, as an immunocompromised person, I was gave King's a low rating because there seemed to be a defiantly anti-mask attitude. But a few years later, not truly knowing the whole story, I don't want to hold that against them. (Keeping this remark because I still think it's worth noting. Someone could've commented on the review to provide an apology or at least some context). It's 2024, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The local products are a neat feature, and they have all the household staples you might want. They own the building that also houses the Omie's coffee shop, so King's parking lot provides parking that Omie's lacks. I'll upgrade to 5-stars if they ever start carrying oat milk and some more plant-based foods. That being said, if you do consume dairy, you can get some wonderful local strawberry milk!”
“My main reason for coming here is the GIANT flour tortillas they sell in the cooler. But they have a lot of Mexican goods that you're not going to find at a standard grocery store. The produce is generally good too, and prices are very competitive.”
“I always like Whole Food went there to get a meal from hot buffet, which didn't disappoint the meal purchase was tasty and I also shopped for a few items which I found with ease. It's definitely easy to spend money in this store because so much to choose from .”

“I come here for MilkLab and Zenfish. Two great places for rolled ice cream and refreshing teas. Awesome Poke Bowls with great prices, I came 4 times in 1 week once I was craving it.”
“Incredible selection of fresh coffee that you can buy in bulk. Really enjoy the peanut butter machine that you can make fresh peanut butter. Produce is always fresh and tasty. Kind and helpful staff!”
“Gentle man helped me out in the charging area when I needed to charge my cell phone and didn’t know they had a area to charge cell phones shout out to you guys very helpful and very kind full customer service!”
“Plusses: the hot bar is banging. Lots of products you can't get in more common stores. The produce section is outstanding.
Cons: the parking lot can be sketch. The product at the cash register is often higher than the price on the shelf. In general all the prices here are higher than say food lion or Walmart.”

“We cannot express enough our gratitude to Chris B of Harris Teeter North Point Drive. He was the best customer service staff I have ever met! Since we came to the store, he answered all our queries and even offered himself if ever we need anything. We had issues with lots of items but he patiently gave us handful of substitute making it extremely an easy experience. When we finally completed our order, he had another customer waiting so he said thag he will come back to us to check of everything is fine. To our surprise, he even bought us an item because we left that and told him to void. He said that he loves helping people and you're a living proof that there are still great people in this world. You are so lucky to have him work at Customer service. Again, thanks amd more powers!”

“The rotisserie chickens are the best all around than in any deli/bakery store in Durham in my opinion because they're very moist and delicious and I purchase at least two or three a week and if I don't be an early bird to buy them I got to wait until the next day to purchase them. And the ones that are cold may I add they are delicious also. You can't go wrong with those rotisserie chickens. That's a plus for me and a blessing for me to purchase them from that particular Food Lion among other items as well. The staff is so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable A shout out to Ms. Jocine. She gives exceptional excellent customer service every time whether she's at the customer service desk or getting carts or cashiering or whatever her role is. I appreciate her pleasantness her smile. I only shop at 2 other Food Lion's stores in Durham and this happens to be the one in my neighborhood. Look forward to shopping there.”
“This store is always clean, organized and generally well stocked. All of the Employees at this location are friendly, polite and attentive. From the Cashiers, Stockers, Baggers, Shoppers, Butchers, Produce Staff, Mgrs., Self Check Out Attendants, Deli Folks and Everyone else you couldn't expect a better crew. A special acknowledgement to William or, Mr.William as I call him, for taking the time over the years to get to know the regular customers and always greeting with a smile and asking about something pertinent to your life. He's always ready to pitch in and go the extra mile!”

“I needed gluten free flatbread to make homemade pizza. I'm not familiar with GF bec it was for a guest. I approached the bread man who was stocking named Kevin. He was super nice and all he had was loaf and he directed me to the bakery/deli section after telling me to also check frozen. I headed first to deli. A nice young woman named Jamiya in the deli, instead of telling me where to look, walked me all over the store including back to the bread guy to get more info on GF. We went to refrig biscuit section w/ no luck, pie crusts section then finally found GF frozen pizza dough. Another employee Kirsten helped join in the search as well. Jamiya even read off some of the ingredients/directions on the packaging bec I could not see very well. Outstanding service! I haven't been treated this well in a very long time. Bravo Harris Teeter! I wanted to do a HT survey but there wasn't one on my receipt. This is my new go to store. Has it's gas station at bottom of parking lot- very convenient.”

“United mini mart is the best neighborhood store! Has the friendliest staff and is always so organized and clean! They’ve also recently redone the entire parking lot and it was a great improvement.”
