“When I was a little girl my grandpa would always bring me here to get candy. He died in 2007 and I had not visited Montford for a while after his funeral. I thought surely the convenience store wasn't there anymore. In July 2020, I had my grandpa on my mind and longed to see his old house so I decided to visit Asheville. Stopped by this store and hit big on a scratch-off! Anyway, the people are still very friendly and the store is a community staple. I hope it never goes away.”

The staff is incredible, especially the two sisters who help run the store. One is the manager, and the other is right there beside her, and both of them treat the business like it’s their own. They’re professional, kind, and genuinely care about their customers. It shows in everything they do—from how they keep the store running smoothly to how they treat every single person who walks through the door.

“Inside gas station, full beer selection bar. No wine, mixed drinks or moonshine just beer. Popcorn and peanuts as snacks. You're inside as gas station if you want other food or go outside and walk around to the Dunkin Donuts next door. Krystal was the bar attendant and she was awesome.”

“I'm glad Sonoco came to my area. I have to use Premium gas in my truck. Their 93 octane makes my 5.3 feel like a 427 ci. My truck gets 2-3 more miles per gallon with the high octane 93 octane gas. I wish they had 93 octane non-ethanol.I wouldn't mind having a good mess of the? HOT cashier.She acts like she'd give it up pretty easy.”
“I love the staff here, they are better than any of the others in town.Every time I go in there it's always a friendly greeting. The managers and clerks get along well which is wild to me cause every gas station I have worked at, the boss is rude and inconsiderate. But I can sense a real good energy from staff and boss and customers. Some of these negative comments, I was there for at least one and the customer became..... Mega Karen and they had to defuse it.”

“I travel to asheville NC Several times a year because my family lives there. Each time I always stop at the hotspot and talk to Ms. Kim and her crew!!!! The store is always clean, and the personalities are warm and friendly!!!! We always laugh and have the best time , she tells me about places to go in Asheville during my stay
And also puts me up on the best hotels!!!
