126 Cherry Mountain St, Forest CityMy cat Morty was sick and after 2 trips to another vet just giving anabiotic and sending me on my way, things were progressively getting worse, I was desperate to get him proper care. Without an appointment I was asked to be there within an hour and Dr. Booth realized right away what needed to be done. After a two day stay and very reasonable rates Morty is back to his regular self and we are very happy. I have only lived here six months. I now have a vet I trust and will continue to bring my pets there.

114 N Powell St, Forest CityOur family had a great experience at Slim’s Bar & Grill last night! The ambiance was fun, yet laid back and had old-school gas station/general store vibes. Our server was absolutely wonderful and made sure everyone was happy. The kids loved the old Chevy truck (yes, there's a truck in the restaurant and the tailgate is an actual seat at the table!) with the Grinch's dog Max riding shotgun! The fresh cut shoestring fries were?and the burgers did not disappoint. We will definitely be coming back anytime we're in the area!??❤️?

The pimento cheese balls were outstanding—rich, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal. The steak was cooked to perfection, exactly as ordered, and the baked potato was light, fluffy, and cooked just right. We also shared the Penny Tower. ?
We visited on a Saturday in the early evening before the Christmas light display and had about a 35-minute wait, which was absolutely worth it. By the time we left, the wait had grown to 2–2.5 hours. While the service did slow down as the restaurant became busier, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and well worth the wait.
