1341 N Main St, MarionI am so happy with this veterinary clinic. I will be going here from now on. They fit me in with a quick appointment, because my dog was having ear issues. I'm disabled, so my friend had to take Sophie.In. they let you go back with your pet and see everything that's going on, and how they treat your pet.They were so good with her.They actually called me on video call.So that I could see everything that was going on.I am so impressed with the way that they handled not only my pet but me. It cost me less than my other vet did, and they did such a fantastic job with her.

Pelican's Snoballs of Marion, NC
174 US-70, MarionHad family in from out of town, everyone wanted a cold treat. We stopped at Pelicans and was in for a treat! Ice cream or snoballs with so many flavors to choose from. I opted on a coconut cream snoball, it was delicious! Some of my crowd tried the waffle cones with cotton candy ice cream. Employees were friendly and helpful. We are already deciding what flavors for our next visit.

1700 N Main St, MarionAs a celiac, this is hands down my absolute go-to restaurant in McDowell. They have a gluten free menu, which so many places don’t even bother having, they will answer any questions you have regarding ingredients, and from my experience they have always been super careful with preparation. I consider Smokey Que’s to be my “safe place” when it comes to dining out, and that says a LOT. The food is always delicious, I could dive into a pool of their potato salad and die a happy woman. The staff is super friendly, Caleb takes the time to walk around and talk to patrons, the entire atmosphere is welcoming and warm. And the tube dudes are a delight to see when driving by! Five stars for McDowell's best!

2474 NC-226, MarionI love this restaurant!! More than anything in specific the cashier on morning shift (I believe) , she’s always so sweet , wears glasses , always has the prettiest eyelashes. Not only is her hospitality sweet, there’s been times where I’ve placed a take out with the afternoon shift and it’s not the same..
The girl on morning shift always makes sure we have utensils, napkins and makes sure our food is nice and neat.. as to where afternoon shift the food is messy and seems like it’s been swung around , also never get utensils.. Also whenever I come in and Dine In she’s always very nice seating and checking out. If service is not good that day she definitely makes up for it .. Not talking bad about anyone just giving recognition the girl deserves 👍. Asides the food being amazing the music and atmosphere is always very home style. Nice job everyone
