Biggest and best supplied Asian store that we are aware of in Jacksonville. We go for the Korean groceries. Pretty good fresh and frozen food and produce.”
“Lowes Foods in Jacksonville really stands out compared to other grocery stores in the area. The combination of friendly staff, regular customers, and unique perks gives it more of a neighborhood feel than a typical supermarket. Every Wednesday is $5 sushi specials, and $10 smoked wings (24 pieces) that have developed a cult following in the Carolinas. The convenient “Lowes Foods To Go” drive-thru grocery pickup with covered awnings so groceries stay dry during rainstorms.
Compared with stores like Publix, Walmart Neighborhood Market, or Food Lion around Jacksonville, Lowes Foods definitely leans harder into customer experience and convenience instead of just being a standard grocery run. The covered pickup lane is honestly a smart feature that more stores should copy, especially in coastal North Carolina where sudden rain is common. Lowes Foods markets that service as “Lowes Foods To Go,” and many customers say the pickup experience is smoother than competitors.”
“Phenomenal little store with all of the stuff we needed to make our Ramen dinner. A nice addition was the onigiri that we as there and the gentlemen running the store warmed up nicely. Very nice owner and clean, my new go to store for asian supplies now!”
“My favorite place to shop for meat and produce! The commissary prices for meat and produce are so much cheaper than out in town and the quality of meat and produce is good too. With that being said, I do however find that their dairy products and bread are more expensive than Walmart.
The employees here are friendly and you can tell they genuinely enjoy their work place and take pride in the cleanliness of their store. I come here for those reasons. Keep up the great work!”
“This food lion is in a direct path to work. They are always clean and have a smile on their face. I appreciate the produce manager always asking if there is anything he can assist with. There are many food lions in the area, however this one is my perferance.”

I had a big order, she went and grabbed another cart and proceeded to put my groceries in my cart for me, that was great courage and a great deal of outside the box thinking to help out today! “Love Aldi overall with one exception - processed meats. Many are off with taste or texture or too salty. Chicken breast slices overground to point of being unrecognizable. Beef sausage is mostly missing. I'd say prices for unprocessed meat are only on par with other stores.
Aldi's probably accounts for half of our food purchases and still a favorite vs the big box thingy.”

Unfortunately the app is confusing. I open the food lion app and started my shopping list, but when I was ready to check out, I was sent to food lion go. But my list was gone.

“I ordered pick up while I was visiting from out of state and love the convenience of being able to order online and pick up. I offered to drive to the front of the store since it was raining but the rep said it was not a problem to bring it to my car. Very courteous and friendly. I had no issues with my order.”
“Love the selection for a more of a discount store. Thinking if you had a membership with same scale at register at door to swipe membership cards then shop and we are compelled to check out ourselves cause only one register is running with 9 people standing around talking to each other. We could use phone to buy products and then weight out at check out and should match purchases. It's really aggravating to do everything ourselves and watch 9 people standing around doing absolutely nothing at these prices. They're friendly. They do say hello and thank you.”

“Your typical dollar general. The staff does a nice job displaying home items. Frequently has a table of sale stuff at the front. They keep a good stock of beach chairs and local shirts in the summer though they are really expensive. Sometimes the cleanliness is not great and sometimes kids will come in and try to run wild, but the staff typically makes them leave. Really thankful to have this store close by.”
“It is convenient to go directly up to the store and quickly get what I need in the way of produce and other essential groceries and things that are of need from where I'm at it's not much hassle I just take a walk even with a walker I go there and take care of my business to come home things to Walmart for what they do”
“I stopped by this Dollar General hoping to find a specific item, and while they ultimately didn’t have what I was looking for, the visit was still a pleasant one. The store was clean, well-organized, and surprisingly well-stocked in just about every section. The employees were friendly, approachable, and quick to offer help when I needed to track something down. Even though I left without the item I came for, the overall experience was positive, and I appreciated the good customer service and tidy store layout.”

“It’s great that its tax free but the fruits & vegetables need to improve. They are not fresh and are pricey to competitors. A lime is .79 cents each...serious? Also don’t expect to find any exotic fruits or vegetables here. Public and Lowes are my top places for this. The Munster cheese next to the lobsters had mold so always double. Aug 1, 2022 update! They have an atm on site as well & now offer pick up for items.”
“I wish they still had gas as it's the closest store to me bit the cashiers are always friendly and sweet and I love that old-timey feel. I love the little old time candy's by the door too and the local products they sell. It's like walking into a simpler time and it's never overcrowded.”

“I go in this DG all the time bc it's 5 mins from my house and they are always busy. Never enough staff so those ladies work so hard! I have had ppl tell me how rude customers were to the cashier and I just want to say that for how few ppl they have and all the customers to help, they do great and dont let me be in line and hear anyone cursing or being rude to them bc they dont get paid enough to deal with that ignorance. They may not say anything but I can assure you I will. Spread love, not negativity. Im a kind person that cares about everyone but I also dont have any problem calling out wrong so BE NICE OR STAY HOME so nobody goes home with a headache, best scenario!”
“Everything's good except the pharmacy seems to be overwhelmed if you have more than one script to fill when you call it in be specific and make sure that they fill all of them if not they will fill what they want and when you go to pick it up you'll have to wait about an hour for them to fix what they forgot to do so if your trying to save time I wouldn't recommend”

“Very polite and willing to help you see what you need or want. The store generally has most of the expected items anyone would need or just want. Very close to other neighboring housing developments. And since it’s closer, some of the items’ prices are a little higher than usual or expected, but the quantity of some of the items are worth it because of the size amount.”
