24394 North Carolina Hwy 12, RodantheWe are tourists in the area and visited in the off-season when most of the businesses close early. But we were able to grab dinner at Neptunes (even at November they stay open til 9pm) and had a great time. The kitchen and dive bar has a local feel to it, with customers chatting it up with each other and the staff. The staff themselves are extremely friendly and one of them even checked in on how we liked our food. Every single food item was seasoned and cooked to perfection and I absolutely loved their hush puppies. The mussels appetizer was delicious, and the combo baskets that we got were also really tasty. We were plenty stuffed. The menu offers both fried and steamed seafood options and there are also non-seafood options to choose from. The menu has a bar for spirits and cocktails, but they also have an offering of wine options!
