304 Tortuga Ln, Surf CityI am here WAY too often thanks to my accident-prone boy, but not once has the staff made me feel like a burden. We can joke and laugh in the waiting area while waiting for an appointment, and they are always incredibly understanding. I wouldn’t consider any of my animals “easy”. My cats want to kill everyone, my malinois acts like he’s never been trained a day in his life, yet the staff are always friendly and welcoming. It took me a very long time to find a vet hospital I liked: I worked in veterinary medicine for 8 years so my standards for qualify of care are quite high. Surf City Pet Hospital exceeds this expectations for me. I’d happily pay a little more for their quality and service. Their prices are fair, and they aren’t “pushing products” or making “money grabs”. There is always a reason a vet will recommend diagnostics, and it’s our job as a pet owner to listen to those recommendations and do what we can for our pets. I can’t imagine taking my pets anywhere else ❤️

411 Roland Ave, Surf CitySome of the best tasting lobster we've ever had. The rolls and bisque are phenomenal, with tender lobster meat and rich flavored soup. And of course the Whoopie Pies are a must. The staff is super friendly and engaging, getting to know us as we were visiting on a little mini-moon after our wedding and giving us recommendations for the area. It's also nice sitting out on the picnic tables enjoying your food outdoors. We can't wait to come back the next time we're at the beach.

Salty Turtle Beer Company
103 Triton Ln, Surf CityThis is by far my favorite brewery in the Eastern NC area! Their beer is more refined than other breweries and they have a better selection. The inside building and patio area are always clean and the employees are always nice and professional. I will continue to patronize this establishment as long as I live here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great craft beer!

205 D Roland Ave, Surf CityThis is a REAL coffee shop— not a juice bar with a Keurig. They have a real espresso machine and steamer. My latte was smooth with just the right “edge.” They offer a wide selection of milk options .The staff are incredibly sweet and welcoming. They are committed to quality and ask you to taste your beverage while you are in the shop so that you can be sure it is exactly right for you. And they mean it! The shop is quite small (but adorable). I wouldn’t plan on staying there long but your time there will be pleasant. I’m going again tomorrow!

The existing combinations of breakfast sandwiches are fantastic, and you can suggest your own combinations My go to is the Bunny with sausage, egg, cheese, spinach and tomato. I've only had good bagels. As other reviewers have mentioned, sometimes they are out of various bagel flavors (today it was everything at 11:30 AM . The place is small so it's takeout only. In the summer I call ahead so I can pick mine up right away. I have a feeling that it's aggravating to people waiting in line. The service is good with a lot of young folks working the line. Smoothly run.
