10101 NC-16, West JeffersonWe are in Jefferson for a month. Neighbors recommended the 20 minute drive to Rodie’s and they were not wrong. This is a no frills spot with good food! The flounder sandwich and the hot dogs all the way accompanied by sweet potato fries and onion rings were great. If you are in a hurry this is not the spot for you. All orders are made to order. Nothing sits around waiting for the next customer. I wish I would have taken some pictures inside and out. Worth the short drive from Jefferson. Enjoy!

203 E 1st St, West JeffersonI made a mistake! Recently we had friends up from Charlotte. Love Red Dog so we took them there. I ordered a house salad and added shrimp. When it arrived we started to laugh. $8.00=4 steamed shrimp…FOUR. They were neither Jumbo shrimp nor impressive. How does one determine that 4 steamed shrimp are worth $8.00? The salad was only $7.00. I will not make that mistake again. Many other items aren’t quite as laughable.

Our server Cita was so attentive & knowledgeable. She answered all our questions with patience. She was kind & efficient. We will definitely come back!!!
