The Pet Place
240 Shadowline Dr, BooneMy boyfriend and I have two pups who LOVE getting to visit this amazing shop! The owner (I’m not 100% sure but the woman who’s always there) is phenomenal at her job!! When our youngest pup had a bad accident with his paw pads, she recommended the best cream and gave us advice on how to handle the issue. His paws were feeling better two days later! I can’t recommend this place enough!!

Pet Grooming

Posh Pooch Grooming
152 Southgate Dr # 2, BooneWe had the best experience with our mobile dog groomer! She groomed our yellow lab and our hound mix, and they both had a deep clean, deshed, and nail trim. I am beyond impressed with how thorough she was. Their coats look incredible, feel so soft, and they smell absolutely amazing! The convenience of mobile grooming made everything so easy, and her pricing is very reasonable for the quality of service she provides. You can tell she truly cares about the dogs and takes pride in her work. We’ve already scheduled our next appointment — highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, professional groomer! ?✨

Fetching Ridge Pet Hotel & Spa
520 Moretz Rd, BooneI drop my dog off and pick her up 8 hours later. She is still alive and sleeps most of the next day. She either really enjoys herself or they have her pulling a plow like an oxen all day. I get pics that make it look like she is having a great time but I guess that could be AI. Who really knows for sure.

Pet Care

Watauga Veterinary Hospital
2531 US-421, BooneMy dog and I both really love this place and the wonderful care Dr. Fair provides! However, their business hours make it really hard for me to come in. They are only open until 5pm and no weekends. How are working people supposed to find the time? I have been trying to get my dog in for awhile but literally cannot find time within their business hours. Most vet offices in town are open until 6! Would really love to stay here because of the quality of care and kindness but their hours make it to where I HAVE to take off work and many people can't.

Appalachian New River Veterinary Associates
218 Wilson Dr, BooneI want to start by saying, I realize everybody’s entitled to their own opinion but my wife and I absolutely positively love this place. My wife and I and our two puppies went up to North Carolina in Boone to visit our family. Unfortunately, one of our puppies was already sick and we realized that we needed to put him to sleep. My aunt knew of this place, and we could not have been happier, even though it was an unbelievably sad situation. The office staff was outstanding. I wish I knew everybody’s name, from the office staff to the tech everything was outstanding this is how things of this sensitive nature should be handled. Dr. Hayes is outstanding the medications that this facility uses in this type of a procedure is incredible. The dog doesn’t feel any pain and I can’t begin to tell you how grateful my wife and I are in this sad experience that we were able to find such a professional and kind loving people in the veterinary profession my wife and I happen to live in Florida, but if we lived in Boone, we would definitely definitely use this facility You absolutely cannot go wrong with bringing your pets to this veterinarian.

Animal Medical Center of Boone
1582 Old US 421 S, BooneI've been taking my many cats and dogs to Dr. Roten for 25 years. On more than 1 occasion, she has saved the lives of a few of our dogs. She is the most reasonably priced vet in the area. Her staff is fantastic. I truly hope she doesn't retire for a very long time. Lord knows I won't be able to afford to take my pets anywhere else. She is great!

Animal Emergency Clinic of the High Country
1710 NC-105, BooneThis is a dream emergency clinic for my precious pets. For nearly 20 YEARS these vet angels have been rescuing my pups at all hours. EXTREMELY TENDER COMPASSION is what they offer. And at the “end”—well I have never experienced such love and care as my fuzzy babies have gotten here. I have no reason to exaggerate this. I truly want others to find the same loving care as I’ve found here.

Pet Sitting & Training

Woof Pack Pet Services
410 Appaloosa Trail, BooneWoof Pack is a Top Shelf dog - training, daycare, Training take care, boarding group! I just finished their Superdog Training sessions for my young lab and I was blown away without professional yet Personal Melissa‘s training sessions were. My young pup had a mind of her own and I figured we were in for a rough time. I was astounded at how attentive she was and totally dialed in to Melissa‘s training techniques. We also started using her daycare and that socialization has totally turned around the way our dog gets along with other dogs.
The entire staff is incredibly friendly and very dialed in with your dog. All extremely capable and the best of the best when it comes to taking care of your dog and teach teaching critical skills.

Wildwood Community Market & Deli
182 Howard St, BooneSo calm, employees are so kind and ready to explain anything that may confuse you. A brown curly haired lass helped me and they were very kind and informative. I know this time of year can be draining for those working but I really appreciated the genuine and kind vibe from them. I got the Chicken sandwich with light pimento and no pickles with potato salad. They are both perfect and YUM. Potato salad was ice cold and sandwich was fried fresh. Heavily recommend. <3

The Local
179 Howard St, BooneIt’s hard to find good help. Overall Good food, nice atmosphere, attractive decor, but stingy food portions. I would rather pay a few dollars more and get a larger serving of meat. I ordered the nachos and it was a large plate full of chips and unusually sweet bbq sauce, but only a small handful of meat. I think most people don’t want a belly full of bread.

Stick Boy Kitchen
211 Boone Heights Dr, BooneReally good brunch spot. I got the Kluckin Kop sandwich and it was great. Definitely get the pickle and chips with it, it adds a lot. Staff were nice and everything went smoothly. Only thing is the sides are a bit limited; chips are fine but more options would be nice. My girlfriend had the chicken noodle soup and liked it a lot.

Country Retreat Family Billiards & Grill
9021 NC-105 S, BooneI noticed a place for billiards and grill while driving by on 105. I was hungry for lunch and decided to try it. They had a long eating counter and many seats. It was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and it was delicious. The menu covered a wide range of lunch and dinner items. I highly recommend this place. I understand that their Friday fish dinners are fantastic and I plan to return there soon.

Booneshine Brewing Company
465 Industrial Park Dr, BooneVisited with my family on a winter Saturday. There was a campfire outside on the patio and it was surrounded by folks and their dogs. The inside was warm and busy. The parking lot was tricky to navigate as it was a sheet of ice, but we managed. My husband loved the beers. The kids loved the food; high-brow pub fare. I liked the gluten-free options. Service was swift and professional. A good time was had by all.
