Lee Highway Animal Hospital
18159 Lee Hwy, AbingdonDiane , the lady at the registration desk and the first person you see, is always so nice, professional, and helpful. I have been using this veterinarian for years, since he opened. Diane has been there since opening. I always feel relief when I show up with a sick puppy and I see her. She has comforted me through deaths of my pets and reassured me when I go in with a new animal.

Wolf Hills Coffee
112 Court St NE, AbingdonMy husband and I stopped in this shop for coffee and a bun. My coffee, the Peaberry bean, was excellent. It had a citrusy subtlety that was delicious. My husband purchased one of the shop made cinnamon buns. He let me have a taste, but wasn’t all that eager to share because it was so good!
There was a nice, small used book store on the premises that I browsed.
This is an excellent shop. I’d be a regular if I lived in Abington.

Mamma Mia
134 Wall St S, AbingdonMy wife and I found this place passing through on our way back to Chattanooga. We ordered breadsticks and a large Works Supreme pizza. Both were excellent. The place is cozy and we really liked all the tvs and music. Lots of parking out back. Prices were very reasonable. The young lady who was our server did an excellent job! If we ever come through that area again, we'll definitely eat there again!

It's a bit pricey, but the quality of the food and taste was on point and incredible. You pay for what you get at this place, everything made from stratch, no shortcuts. I'll definitely be going back here. I highly recommend this place, I still can't get over how good the food was.

Southwest Virginia Cultural Center & Marketplace
1 Heartwood Cir, AbingdonBeautiful center with lots of displays
About the history of the craft and art that has been been been made in the South Virginia Appalachian Mountains. Beautiful signage about different materials such as basket, Weaving quilting, woodworking, ceramics, etc. and then underneath they have great contemporary artists and craftsman wears for sale. Beautiful lighting. Obviously has all sorts of events. They have a small theater and they have an area that we could handle larger groups and the coffee shop wasn’t open the day I was there, but it looks like a nice little coffee shop. Really clean bathroom is very accessible bathrooms. The whole center is very accessible and lots of disability parking. It was a wonderful stop in between Roanoke and Florence. I could get out and walk in. It’s gorgeous grounds and gorgeous rolling hills around it. The staff is really nice and helpful. Lots of information about the local area if you’re looking for more things to do. Highly recommend.
