There were some finishing and installation issues/damage, as well as perhaps some miscommunications between the design and install teams about some of my concerns. That led me to give what I considered a pretty fair and accurate review.However, the reason for the 5-star update is the time and care Matt took to come to my house, personally address the concerns and make things right.It is so rare to find a company these days that truly cares about customer satisfaction. Sometimes things happen with a project. But how a company responds and addresses those problems - that is the mark of integrity. That alone makes me want to do business here again. They are also very friendly, knowledgeable and have a great selection - so there's that too. :)Stop searching and give Matt a call!”

“I was very pleased with my recent Granite installation from J and R. The builder of my new home provided countertops for the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry, but I had California Closets build in my pantry, mudroom and closet cabinets. I got a price from my builder's contractor to install the additional Granite countertops on these cabinets and the quote was significantly higher than the price from J and R. And as it turned out, the quality of J and R's installation work was better as well. J and R worked to meet my schedule and I couldn't have been more pleased with the end result. Highly recommend J and R.”

“We have a nice selection of stuff for home decoration. I did find a rug there that I thought was a good price. Most of the places I went to price rugs had them between $200 and $500 for 8x10 or 7x10, I found a 7x10 that I thought look good for $99. I also found some baskets for storage, one of them I got had rollers on it so I'm going to put blankets in it beside the sofa. I will probably go back there to look at pillows as well once I get things settled.”

“We got our kitchen cabinets from Sims Lohman as that was who our builder used 7 years ago. Our bathroom cabinets, granite peninsula, kitchen sink, and bathroom counters are also from them. The base molding in the kitchen needed touched up but the touch up kits that they had given us was dried out. I called and askedPage if we could purchase. She was so helpful. This color was discontinued but she found one left and said that we could just have it. Now that's great customer service.”

“Will update as we get progress-Took my time shopping around for new appliances. While the sales guy was super patient with my questions, I’m not happy about my purchase there. Purchased washer & dryer set on 3/05/23. Was told it should take about a week for delivery but due to supply issues/covid etc it could take up to a month. Since my current washer dryer are still (barely) functioning I figured we can try to hold out that longReceived an email on 3/13 (the day after the scheduled delivery date they put on the paperwork) stating that the delivery day to the warehouse/store is May 29th! That’s about 12 weeks. I called to speak about this situation and what could be done. We would have to pay a restocking fee (up to 50% of purchase price!) if we wanted to swap it out with something that could be here sooner.Update*** the day after posting this I was contacted by the store to figure this out. Spoke with both store employee and manager. Thankfully it’s delivery day to store was updated to 4/10. It actually ended up being earlier and the set was delivered to my home on April 5th about a month after purchase, much appreciated!! The delivery was smooth and the gentlemen that delivered were great.”

“Attended a dinner with a large group of people who did not know eachother. To be honest, I was not looking forward to the event. I was surprised how much we enjoyed the evening, food and leadership by the chefs. We learned a lot on presentation and combing of unique foods into dishes, well worth the visit and fee. Will be back”

“As a military family, we move often. Ikea has always been our go-to when trying to make a house home. Their furniture and organizing abilities can be affordable. It can also be very expensive. It's hit or miss. This trip started with dropping off my daughter to the children's area. She normally loves it and I love that she's playing and having fun. The staff is very friendly. The lady working the restaurant cash register had the most beautiful singing voice. I honestly thought I was listening to the radio. She was super energetic. The only thing is she didn't give us our free drinks for Ikea family, even after scanning our card. The food is always good. I gave four because I really wish they offered to-go cups. Maybe that's an American thing, but I love shopping with my drinks. If you want to go drinks, you have to go downstairs to order. The food is yummy, but smaller portions. Be sure to try the Swedish dish.”

“With our kitchen remodel we went countertop shopping. After about four stores we checked Google Maps and found Discount Granite. They had exactly what we wanted (they even had similar material found at other stores) After purchasing we needed to wait for about a month for the cabinets. They agreed to hold them for us. When ready for countertops to be installed we contacted Larry. It was a 10 day wait time. Larry called the morning of install and gave me a ETA. All during the install Larry communicated with us by asking us questions and answering ours. He does all the cutting onsite. It’s done outside but is dirty. The good part is he measures and cuts to his measurements. The counters fit perfect! Definitely a custom fit. This was a great experience from purchasing to install. Prices are very fair. You pay Discount Granite for the slab and sink if you choose. Then at installation you pay for the install.I hope I never do another kitchen, but if I do, I would choose Discount Granite. And I highly recommend”
