I called DB while en route and spoke to a woman that answered all my questions (through my panicked tears 🙃) and assured me they had what I needed. Arrived and was directed to the section I needed. Then, they gave me a few running shoe choices and helped me stay within 40mm heel thickness - I’m competing in an Ironman race. I ended up with a 3rd choice (not shown). Friendly & supportive - a real treat!”

The interesting part was the owner kind words .
First he said , we do not want to lose you as customer and we would like to keep you as a customer.
Secondly he said we are ready to fix our mistake !
As a collector and business man I can say this is the right receipy for success for any business. The store cares about customers and even more they care to ensure right things are done ! When I see the owner is communicating with me directly and he was so humble and polite to discuss the case professionally! Here I said on my mind this is the RIGHT STORE FOR MY BUSINESS .
I really appreciate the owner professional level also his great team work hard to sort out things ! Mistakes will happen for sure , but what always looking for is how to fix it ! They did it very right .

They have a group run on a Saturday where so many others showed me kindness and helped me start my running Journey! I had always had the goals of running a marathon. The free guide on the website, the help from the store, and the amazing community all made it possible for me to finish my first marathon! If you are even thinking about running come to a Saturday run - meet some community members who love this activity - and then treat yourself with some knowledge and help in the store! They have great deals for shoes and you get credits for showing up to support them. This is getting long and crazy but literally this place made me a runner - because I wasnt before I found this group.”

“After having a not so positive experience at a different store, I walked into this store and a man named Jordan came out and helped me get my usual pair of boots. He made sure we scanned my feet to know exactly which size, and insoles I would need. He recommended a few different insoles, and recommended me a pair for arch support. Overall this interaction was a night and day experience from the other store. I actually found out, for the first time in my life, that I have one foot slightly bigger than the other, I wouldn’t of known that had I not gotten my feet scanned, so Jordan, thank you, you have excellent customer service skills. I for sure will return to this place.”

“This location is changing their name to DTLR...but they still have the City Gear signs up. This location has way more shoes and clothes than the location in Town & Country out East.
The lady that helped me was so nice and attentive. I sent her in the back for different shoes and different sizes about 10 times and she stayed professional and kept a smile on her face. Her attitude never changed and that was priceless!! We will definitely drive from way out East to the North side for that type of service!! Im sad I didnt get her name but she needed some commission for dealing with me.”

“I would like to share the positive experience I had shopping here. I recently had surgery and am getting back into adult ballet classes. I have tried taking classes in typical activewear, but I find it impacts my performance. It feels like my movement/turnout is more restricted in traditional activewear, and I can’t see my lines to make corrections. That solidified to me that wearing a leotard is the most functional option. That being said, I was extremely nervous about walking into a dance wear store and trying to find leotards big enough for me.
The staff were extremely helpful with finding my sizes and offering to look up a product if they did not have my size in the store. It truly felt like a nonjudgmental experience which I really didn’t expect. I look forward to going back. This is the only place I will go for my dance wear needs for the foreseeable future. The teenager working there was extremely professional and kind, as well as the other lady who helped me. Thank you so much!”
