“Great service, knowledgeable staff, clean store, and 511 has always had good products. I stopped in yesterday to get a new pair of pants and boots after my last pair of 511 boots held up for an astonishing 4 years of construction work. You are paying extra for that, but if you do physical labor or otherwise frequent the outdoors, the length of time before you have to buy again makes up for it. Buy once, cry once as they say. They also make real good plate carriers if you're planning on larping, doing weighted calisthenics, or you're a swat lad looking for a better setup than the department issued you. 10/10 will go back when I wear through these new boots in another 3-4 years.”

“Doug helped fit me for new ski boots. I am 67 and have arthritis. The store was very busy yet he took his time to explain in detail what type of boot may work and what he can do with my current boots in the meantime that are too big. I bought boots that open from the back that makes them much easier to put on. Doug is helping me with a binding issue as the new boots require different bindings than what I have. All this to say, that he went 'above and beyond' in helping me. Thank you, Doug.”
“Decent styles for taller and bulkier guys, as with any big and tall the prices are a bit overboard but the employees are very helpful and genuinely care about making sure you leave the store happy. -1 star just due to prices.”

“I was in the store on the 14th and bought my son's suit for prom. I am so glad that I came here, because the color suit he wanted was 100.00 less than the 1st place to which we had gone. I was able to get a suit, shirt, bow tie accessories and cuff links and alterations for less than the price of the suit at the 1st place. Les and Betty were so friendly and helpful.
I returned to the store on the 25th to pick up his suit after alterations and Jeanette rang us out. She was pleasant and helpful as well.”

“A store with excellent choices apparel for men and women. It is unfortunately going out of business but they have a 40% sale along between now and the end of December 2025 so it is an excellent time to shop at Orvis in Kenwood.”

On another note, please give the Amazon returns desk a chair. Removing reasonable accommodations because one ex-employee was bad at her job is cruel.
They don't have any opportunities to leave their station, they are forced to stand in one spot waiting for someone to show up.”
“I returned a Christmas gift today that was too big: A brown suede and leather coat. It’s a beautiful piece, but they didn’t have my size online. Gary (who I assume is the manager?) was incredible. He returned the item, found one in my size in another store (he said Stanford, so I assume California) and it’s being shipped to my house as we speak. He spent a lot of time working with me today, was extremely professional, and I left the store with a new jacket on the way and a satisfaction I haven’t had with a retail store in a long time.”
“Very kind and helpful staff. When we walked in, we could immediately smell that it was clean without it being overwhelmingly strong and migraine inducing. The store is very organized and laid out well, probably one of the best we've seen. Prices are competitively priced. If you need a nice outfit on the fly at a reasonable price, then this is the place to go.”
“The girl who helped me when I came in was knowledgeable about the shoes. I didn't feel like there was much of a selection for wider feet but didn't really get enough time to look. The store was pretty busy and the isles were kinda narrow so it made browsing a bit uncomfortable. I will try again when it's less busy.”

“I came in with my daughter for back to school shopping. My daughter is fairly small and tall, so it’s hard finding pants that fit her. Shiyanne was able to find us a few different styles of jeans and dress pants that my daughter could try on. I was so happy when I realized that they carried a tall version in the pants, and so was my daughter. Not only was Shiyanne customer service great, she was so attentive to the other customers and other workers when they needed her help, while still making sure we were doing okay. We ended up leaving with two pairs of pants and we ordered some online as well.”
