Global Pet Foods
356 Queen St S, BoltonThis is a wonderful pet store! The staff is amazing! I shop there on a regular basis and they're always happy to answer questions and make suggestions. They're all so knowledgeable! Chris saved the day on more than one occasion ensuring I received my order of puppy food without having to wait a week, even when I placed the order after their cut off date. Kat is aways very helpful and my puppy loves her liver treats! I really recommend Global Pet Foods!

Caledon Animal Shelter
12889 Coleraine Dr, BoltonI am incredibly grateful for the Caledon Animal Shelter!
I am a Brampton resident and my family found someone's lost pet (budgie) near our residence, and took in the bird hoping to save it and find the owner.
I immediately filed a found pet report on the Brampton Animal Services website, and received an email letting me know that because I was located on the border of Brampton and Caledon (but still a Brampton resident with a Brampton address), that I had to contact Caledon Animal Services instead.
I spent a few days speaking with different staff at Brampton Animal Services, had many frustrating experiences, and received many nonsensical reasons for their refusal to accept the bird.
I decided to submit a found animal report on the Caledon shelter website and they were quick to give me a call, hear my situation, and offer solutions. They immediately understood my helplessness in the situation and suggested that if Brampton services refused to take in the budgie, that they could see if an exception could be made to accept it at their shelter given I was located on the border of the two cities.
I also have to highlight how much I appreciate that they cared for this tiny bird, as many other shelters I contacted seem to prioritize and only care about larger animals, like cats and dogs, despite other animals needing help too!
While I am frustrated and embarrassed at the state of Brampton's inadequate services, I cannot stress how grateful I am to Caledon for stepping up and taking in this budgie, despite them having no obligation to.
I am truly grateful for this shelter for restoring my hope, as I had many disheartening experiences with Brampton Animal Services, as well as with other shelters in nearby cities that I contacted who brushed me off.
The staff was also friendly and understanding over e-mail, phone, and in person. The facility was well kept, and I am confident that they will take great care of the little budgie.
Thank you again for your understanding and generosity, and putting aside city limits to care for deserving animals!
