Pet Valu
4242 Dundas St W, EtobicokeI always enjoy bringing my dog into the Pet Valu at Royal York and Dundas. The store feels genuinely welcoming, and the staff are consistently kind. Manny, in particular, stands out. He’s professional, warm, and creates the kind of atmosphere where customers feel looked after.
He keeps us updated on promotions and events, often sending a quick personalized message so we never miss something helpful for our pets. It’s clear he cares about both the animals and the people who walk through the door. The store runs smoothly, feels inviting, and reflects the pride he takes in his work.
A visit here always feels like stepping into a neighbourhood space where our pets matter.

Pet Valu
250 Wincott Dr, EtobicokeI cannot say enough times that I’ve met the Cat groomer whisperer. This woman is wonderful and after many awful experiences with other groomers and even SEDATING my cat and making her sick…. I met Eva. My cat doesn’t love her nails being clipped or being groomed but she tolerates Eva… hissses and she’ll complain but she lets her get the job done. I go in and out with my cat and her colleague seems to do great as well. I feel blessed and lucky to have found her.
The vet at this plaza was the place that would only see my cat after sedation and not being able to do anything with an entire team. Eva just does it in a few minutes all hy herself with me just watching her… she’s amazing.

BooBoo Pet Grooming Services
2469 Lake Shore Blvd W, EtobicokeAnna is the best! Warm, friendly, caring, and skilled. Our cat Millie is a gorgeous long haired tabby. Though her masses of beautifully long, thick fur needed attention, we suspected her ‘don’t touch me’ attitude maybe wouldn’t make this easy. Noor! Anna had no trouble at all, and in fact reported her sweet and cooperative. And certainly the teddy bear cut she gave Millie was perfect - neat, even, expertly layered. All the other little details (nail trim, ear clean, sanitary trim etc) all taken care of. And the price was right too. Great experience - thank you!

The Pet Spaw & Lounge
321 Burnhamthorpe Rd, Etobicoketook my dog to the groomer for the first time, and they took excellent care of her. She is 3 years old, a bit particular about her paws, and while she loves her humans, she can be shy and bark at new people—typical Dachshund behaviour. She did move during her nail trim and ended up with a small nick, which I was informed about right away. She’s been absolutely fine since—just a little tender, which is expected after her first grooming experience.
She went from Grinch paws to beautiful, little dear paws, nice and neat. . She also smells amazing and is incredibly soft now. I’ve tried many times myself using different methods like a harness and scratch mat, and I know how challenging nail trimming can be. They are animals, after all, so I really appreciate the care and transparency throughout the process. I also think groomers are very brave dealing with all the claws and teeth that can come with the job.

Richview Animal Hospital
250 Wincott Dr, EtobicokeI saw Dr Monaco and RVT Claudia for my chinchilla Kappy, he is 6-7 years old and I just got him about a month ago. He has never been to a vet before so I wasn’t sure how he was going to do in general going in for a check up.
Both Dr Monaco and Claudia handled him with so much care and despite him being a bit confused as to what on earth they were doing to ensure he was a healthy boy, I know overall he was comfortable in their hands and made sure he had time in between during the exam for breaks.
I’m very glad that we found an exotic vet nearby and that there’s a team who wears their hearts on their sleeves. Would highly recommend this team

City Sniffers Pet Services
1248 The Queensway, EtobicokeCity Sniffers is truly the best! Miranda treats Shasta and Ace (my two Border collie pups) like they’re her own puppies! They’ve been going there since they were just 3 months old and I’m convinced that the social skills they have today are thanks to the loving and well-structured environment she provides. Every dog goes through a careful meet-and-greet process, so everyone gets along beautifully. The space is always spotless and when my two have boarded there, the experience has been exceptional. I love how they celebrate birthdays and holidays with photos (Nick makes a exception Santa-Pup). It’s no surprise they were nominated for a GEM of Etobicoke Lakeshore award. They absolutely deserve it.

Home Buddies Doggie Day Care
12 Advance Rd, EtobicokeThe folks at Home Buddies have been grooming our Wheaten Terriers since 2018, and we’ve been using the daycare facilities there since 2020.
The staff are always very accommodating for scheduling, super caring with the dogs, and happy to bend over backwards to make sure the dogs and the doggie parents are happy.
They will go an extra mile to be sure the finished groom is perfect, and they take care to ensure the dogs are having fun but safe in the daycare setting.
I can’t recommend Home Buddies enough, take your dogs there with full confidence.

Shin Ramen and Sushi
3106 Lake Shore Blvd W, EtobicokeI’ve been to this restaurant more than 10 times and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and delicious, the service is nice and friendly in my experience! It is always a pleasure to come in for a lunch or dinner. The restaurant is fairly small, so it may be really full and busy and sometimes you may need to wait 10-15 min for a table. Just one personal remark: I really enjoyed the ambiance more in the past when they used to play traditional Japanese, Korean and other “Asian” music. The new playlist with modern songs just does not fit this otherwise wonderful place. I hope one day you can play those traditional tunes again.

Etobicoke Humane Society
67 Six Point Rd, EtobicokeWe recently adopted the sweetest little tabby cat from EHS. It quickly became clear that the volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable, caring and deeply invested in finding their cats a suitable and fit home. The application process was thorough to ensure Abernathy (Abby) was the right fit for us, which we appreciated. They are very supportive throughout the process and we appreciate the follow ups and support provided after the adoption. Thank you to all the volunteers for everything you do! We know it’s not easy and we appreciate you. Our little gal is still quite shy so we don’t have many pictures but we can tell she’s close to coming out of her shell. When she does, pictures to follow. ?
