I have had such wonderful customer service from Nikita and Latasha, both of these ladies have been so kind and knowledgeable in helping me navigate my finances while going through such a tough situation in life - both were extremely patient and went the extra mile to answer all of my questions even though I had tons of them and I am sure it was busy for them. “Came into this branch to open a new account for my daughter and had the pleasure with dealing with Drashti Patal being our customer service personnel. Drashti was not only friendly, she was also quick and accurate with setting the account up. We got in 10 mins earlier then our scheduled appointment time and was out within 15 mins. Again, Drashti was professional and had a great impression as my daughter's first banking interaction.”
“A very pleasant experience here.
I had difficulties getting an appointment with a banker at my local branch. Went in twice and no one was able to see me. I had lost all access to my accounts due to fraudulent charges and was told to go in person to close the accounts and open new ones with personal banker. Hard to make an appointment when you can't log in!
My local branch teller finally got me an appointment at this branch. I told her I was willing to drive two hours but had to do it today as I had childcare arranged for my baby. I got an appointment at this location, 30 minutes away.
The branch manager here immediately came to assist me. The staff seemed to help each other. The customer volume seems high but I still feel like I was helped and heard.

“Melinda “the account whisperer” (internal joke about her name and a show called “the ghost whisperer”) is an incredible rep for Scotiabank, I drove all the way here, to be able to pay my credit card, since I had an awful experience at the Taunton/Baldwin branch with one of their Reps. And Melinda heard my situation, she helped me with my transactions & we joked about her being the account whisperer, and because of her and the Team of Scotiabank who heard my full on complaint about the other branch, through Simon the rep who took in my complaint. Scotiabank is no longer in the blacklist and back into neutral territory.
What I will say tho, my experience with one individual does not define my relationship with Scotiabank, will I recommend it to the newcomers that I work with on a daily basis, I will let them decide, I’ll give them the options of the best banks ? and my experiences with them… Scotia ♥️ has rejoined The Green King ?? at the list of recommended financial institutions ? for when people ask me about my experiences with financial institutions in ??
As a Venezuelan ?? Colombian ?? Canadian ?? who has been in ?? for 12yrs, I don’t give advice that is not founded by yrs of experience. Good & bad experiences shape us to become who we are, they build our character & they provide us with insight that comes from our experiences.
I call Scotiabank The Latin Bank ? of Canada ?? and… it may or may not be good for some people, it’ll all depend on the type of business they want to do with the ?
