“There's really knowledgeable and patient staff here who really know sports equipment and are extremely helpful with getting you the right skis, snowboards, skates, bicycles whatever... Great shop.”
“I love the Runners Shop! I have been a customer for over a decade. They are the most knowledgeable, friendly running store staff I've ever met. I've tried getting shoes from other running stores, with not great results. I have narrow feet, high arches and I pronate. Only the Runner's Shop has consistently gotten me into the right shoes, time and again, so I don't get injured. I love the new store and location in the Annex. 100% the best in Toronto.”
“This guy Tex has been around a long time ⌛️ in Toronto he used to be in the Beach ⛱️ for many years & in recent time moved downtown. He's got a good ? selection & you should support local. Check ✅️ him out for your Blue Jays ? ? Post Season & World's Series merch.”
“Jose was helpful and insightful in helping me choose a pair of running sneaker. I had some left knee pain due to a recent injury and Jose helped me understand which type of running shoes would be best suited for me. Highly recommend shopping here for running shoes! And thanks Jose for your help!”
“Mackenzie was super helpful in finding me my first pair of new balances. When the store didn't have my preferred colourway, she found a pair in a different store and got them shipped to my home. Great shopping experience.”
“Purchased 3 shirts from icy and was blown away by the quality, turn around time and kindness of the icy staff! Definitely coming back to get more prints done ???”
“This was my first visit to Running Free located at 708 Denison St in Markham, ON. Based on my personal experience, they have established the platinum standard for how to deliver the best when it comes to quality merchandise and incomparable customer service along with incredible pricing to top it all off.
Thanks to Sue’s expert guidance and assistance I was able to purchase the perfect pair of runners to help me on my journey towards a full recovery from midfoot fusion surgery. My physiotherapist recommended this local, Canadian-owned business and I am so thrilled she told me because I would have never known about this wonderful establishment that’s located in an unassuming industrial/commercial plaza. What a true gem it is!
My sister and I were surprised at the sheer size of the store and the great variety of in-stock big brand names that were available not only with running shoes but with their other goods such as clothing and accessories. We were greeted by Sue as soon as we entered the store and after listening to my list of requirements she was able to search out the best pair of runners for my needs.
Sue truly made the difference in making me feel comfortable and confident in my purchase. She measured my feet, checked the fit and observed my gait with every pair of shoes I tried on to ensure I was getting the proper stability/support I needed. Sue genuinely listened to what I needed without rushing me or pressuring me to make a decision. I can be quite indecisive at times so her patience and kindness was truly valued and appreciated. She didn’t hesitate to bring out as many pairs of runners as was required until I was happy with my final choice.
After decades of only shopping at big box retail stores I was conditioned into thinking smaller/independent businesses always charged higher prices but Running Free has clearly shattered that misconception. Prices are comparable if not better than the big box stores and Sue signed us up for the store’s newsletter which gave us a further 10% discount on the spot. Exceptional value and competitive pricing!
We will be back to make more purchases for the rest of our family. I only wish every shopping experience could be as efficient, pleasant and successful as my visit to Running Free. Very happy customer for life!”
“Needed a new pair of winter boots. Was helped by Ivan and walked out with a pair of Be Lenka boots after trying on a bunch of options and sizes. Staff was extremely helpful and I love my new boots!”
“For Christmas we ordered a new snowboard for our son from NorthLine Sports, the ordering process was easy, the price was competitive, the board he wanted was in stock and shipping was fast and worry free. We will definitely be repeat customers. Everyone involved in this process, thank you.”
“I managed to make it here today, about 20 minutes before closing.
Super cool location on Queen St. Very friendly and accommodating staff, chill vibes and amazing service.
We managed to get some good deals on Snowboarding needs.
I will be back.
Thank you for the great service.

“I went to Racquet Guys store for the first time yesterday.
I was VERY IMPRESSED by their knowledgeable, friendly, very patient staff..... they answered all my questions and thoroughly explained and helped me make the right decisions in my upgrading of my pickleball paddle and court shoes etc..
The STAFF went ABOVE and BEYOND with their time and knowlegeable input to make me feel good about my purchase
The store has a FANTASTIC selection to choose from
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this store for all your racquet sport products and accessories”
“The greatest thing about the store is that the associates are not there to push for the most expensive shoes. Shoutout to Magda for being super patient with me and helping narrow down the products based on the anatomy of my foot. I highly recommend using the foot scanner as it will tell you the ideal size (My size in the past has always been two size smaller! No wonder I'm always in pain), the arch and width of your feet. Overall, great store, great products, and great service!”
“I recently purchased an item from this seller, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The item was exactly as described, arrived promptly, and was packaged with great care. Communication was excellent, with quick responses to my questions. I highly recommend AJ Sportsworld to anyone looking for a smooth and pleasant buying experience. Thank you for a fantastic transaction!”
“Had a great experience here yesterday. I needed help fixing a broken snowboard binding buckle, and the staff was so kind and helpful. They fixed it quickly and didn’t charge me at all. Really appreciate the honesty and great service. Will definitely be back!”

“This is the first store we shopped the day after we moved to Canada in January 2022 amidst the worst blizzard last 30 years. The store owner is an honest and kind-hearted fella who helped us patiently and got the best boots that we need for the best price in the market. We thank him very much for this. To this day, we always remember him.”
“I joined Culture Athletics’ run club approximately 3 months ago, based on a friend’s recommendation. I mentioned to her that I wanted to get faster in my running, and she suggested Culture Athletics. I was hesitant at first, but boy was she right. I have learned so much since joining. From day one, I was welcomed with open arms by a community that is not only friendly but incredibly encouraging. Whether you are wanting to qualify for Boston like many of the runners in the group or if you’re simply wanting to run with an encouraging community at whatever your pace, I highly recommend Culture Athletics.Despite my initial hesitation due to my slower pace, I quickly realized that this group embraces runners of all levels, making it feel like having your own personal cheer squad every time you hit the pavement.Within these 3 months, I achieved a milestone I never thought possible: completing a half marathon in under 2 hours. This accomplishment is a testament to the supportive environment fostered by Culture Athletics. What sets Culture Athletics apart is not just the running, but the holistic approach to wellness. The Tuesday night yoga sessions for runners with Sarah are simply amazing. Her expertise as a yoga instructor has helped me immensely with strengthening, stretching, and mastering breath work, all of which have not only enhanced my running but also improved my overall well-being.The Wednesday training sessions with coach Seanna have been instrumental in my progress. Seanna’s dedication to creating training plans and her unwavering support rain or shine (or snow, cold, wind) have pushed me beyond my limits and helped me grow as a runner.I must also mention Nigel, whose positive energy and organizational skills make every run and event a joyous experience. The camaraderie within the group, with everyone cheering each other on during runs, creates an incredibly uplifting atmosphere.I was initially hesitant to join, but I am so glad I did. I am excited about setting and achieving my next goals with the support of this amazing community. And not to forget, I’ll soon be getting a new pair of shoes from Culture Athletics to continue this fantastic experience!Thank you, Culture Athletics, for creating such a welcoming and empowering space for runners like me. Highly recommended!”
“Excellent staff that are well trained and knowledgeable. Great for runners like me, but also for those not into running, just in need of shoes or apparel. Glynis has helped me, and she’s great. Thanks for the advice on the new Brooks; best shoes I’ve had in a while!”
“Went there today to buy our son some new goalie gear. They are friendly, knowledgeable and spent time educating us and fitting him for equipment. Will definitely return....great experience!!”

The overall experience with Raymond was as like nothing we have had before, I had a blast and I wasn’t even shopping for myself!! The staff at this store is super friendly, and everyone treated us with such respect. Raymond has now become our “go to” and we look forward to meeting with him again. “Very interesting experience, but overall owner was very nice in person. It was hard to reach him via phone and finding the entrance was like trying to look for treasure with clues on the doors lol. Good price for shoes, and website was up to date which was awesome”
“There is a reason this business has been around for over 60 years. The incredible customer service and knowledge of Lino is what separates this type of store from many others in the GTA.I recently purchased two autographed framed jerseys and Lino was fair in negotiations and ensured I was satisfied with the product. He was incredibly responsive to all questions I had.If you need anything soccer related or soccer memorabilia, this is the best store to shop at and is in a league of its own. I personally will recommend this to all friends and family.”

“Roger Das is the best. He has helped me for years, whether it is just jeans or a tie, or a whole outfit. He knows all his stock and whether it will look good on you even before you try it on. But where he really excels, is with custom made. He has helped me with suits for both my daughters' weddings. Last weekend, I was father of the bride in a custom tuxedo. Roger helped me with every detail. I felt like a million bucks and even got compliments on the day. The fit was perfect and the little custom elements made me feel like I was truly an individual. Roger is great.”
“The stand out feature of this chain is their excellent staff. I've been to or spoken to 3 locations plus their main customer service line. Each time they were super helpful & friendly. Also, their prices for brand name athletic gear is fantastic, like 50-70% off.”

“The only location where I felt like I was talked into buying a shoe that really wasn’t a good idea. However the return policy made up for the heavy sales push.”
“Bought the squat rack from them along with bumper plates, bar and bench. They were very knowledgeable, prices are extremely fair, and they deliver as well as assemble the product for you. I've used the product for a month now and couldn't be happier with this purchase. I'd strongly recommend checking out this store.”
“I'm not super into like army stuff and guns and being manly, however I I love combat boots. Now Doc Martens are like $200 and knockoffs break easily. So I buy my combat boots here because they are made to withstand actual war and it sounds so kickass to say that. I bought used ones because the new ones have very limited sizing. The used ones are amazingly priced and have more sizing options. The sizing can be weird though as I am a women's 8 but my shoes are a 4 (I don't know what gender) so keep that in mind. People are nice and it's always fun to look around.”
