Thanks to Sue’s expert guidance and assistance I was able to purchase the perfect pair of runners to help me on my journey towards a full recovery from midfoot fusion surgery. My physiotherapist recommended this local, Canadian-owned business and I am so thrilled she told me because I would have never known about this wonderful establishment that’s located in an unassuming industrial/commercial plaza. What a true gem it is!
My sister and I were surprised at the sheer size of the store and the great variety of in-stock big brand names that were available not only with running shoes but with their other goods such as clothing and accessories. We were greeted by Sue as soon as we entered the store and after listening to my list of requirements she was able to search out the best pair of runners for my needs.
Sue truly made the difference in making me feel comfortable and confident in my purchase. She measured my feet, checked the fit and observed my gait with every pair of shoes I tried on to ensure I was getting the proper stability/support I needed. Sue genuinely listened to what I needed without rushing me or pressuring me to make a decision. I can be quite indecisive at times so her patience and kindness was truly valued and appreciated. She didn’t hesitate to bring out as many pairs of runners as was required until I was happy with my final choice.
After decades of only shopping at big box retail stores I was conditioned into thinking smaller/independent businesses always charged higher prices but Running Free has clearly shattered that misconception. Prices are comparable if not better than the big box stores and Sue signed us up for the store’s newsletter which gave us a further 10% discount on the spot. Exceptional value and competitive pricing!
We will be back to make more purchases for the rest of our family. I only wish every shopping experience could be as efficient, pleasant and successful as my visit to Running Free. Very happy customer for life!”

“The greatest thing about the store is that the associates are not there to push for the most expensive shoes. Shoutout to Magda for being super patient with me and helping narrow down the products based on the anatomy of my foot. I highly recommend using the foot scanner as it will tell you the ideal size (My size in the past has always been two size smaller! No wonder I'm always in pain), the arch and width of your feet. Overall, great store, great products, and great service!”

The incredible customer service and knowledge of Lino is what separates this type of store from many others in the GTA.I recently purchased two autographed framed jerseys and Lino was fair in negotiations and ensured I was satisfied with the product. But where he really excels, is with custom made. He has helped me with suits for both my daughters' weddings. Last weekend, I was father of the bride in a custom tuxedo. Roger helped me with every detail. I felt like a million bucks and even got compliments on the day. The fit was perfect and the little custom elements made me feel like I was truly an individual. Roger is great.”

“I'm not super into like army stuff and guns and being manly, however I I love combat boots. Now Doc Martens are like $200 and knockoffs break easily. So I buy my combat boots here because they are made to withstand actual war and it sounds so kickass to say that. I bought used ones because the new ones have very limited sizing. The used ones are amazingly priced and have more sizing options. The sizing can be weird though as I am a women's 8 but my shoes are a 4 (I don't know what gender) so keep that in mind. People are nice and it's always fun to look around.”
