Barkingham Palace
2211 Gerrard St E, TorontoI should have written this review a while ago but figured that my better half had already given a glowing review !!! Both Kelsey & Jim deserve all the praise they get for their dedication to the Barkingham Pack … the doggies are always looking so relaxed and happy while at the day care . Zorro waits every morning to jump in the car to get to see his friends ! He definitely seems to have a lot of fun and is quite pitted when we pick him up . Kelsey takes great pains to get beautiful and action pictures of the pack, it must be a chore to do it every day but she manages to surprise us with awesome shots . Both of us and Zorro are fortunate to have found such caring individuals who truly are devoted to the pack. Thank you Kelsey and Jim for taking such great care of not just Zorro but the entire Barkingham Pack ? we are also thankful for the overnight stays for Zorro while we travel.

College Street Animal Hospital
686 College St, TorontoMy fur baby Bonecrusher had an incident during the night where she was limping and hiding, in visible pain and I could tell she was in serious pain, as soon as as her regular vet office opened I called to let them know I was bringing her in for her first ever emergency visit, that vet said they were booked for the next seven days and I’d have to wait.
That’s when I decided to find a new veterinary office and luckily for Bonecrusher I found College Street Animal Hospital.
They took her in within an hour of me calling them, the staff are incredibly kind, friendly and informative, the doctor was perfect. She was very gentle with my little furry friend and quickly gained her trust.
Long story short here is that Cusher is now fine, turned out to be a sprain and she’s back to her old self thanks to her new vet office at College Street Animal Hospital.

Metro Animal Hospital
2646 Danforth Ave, TorontoI recently brought my stubborn Olde English Bulldogge (Ripley♥) to Metro Animal Hospital for a check-up, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care and service we received. As the owner of a non-aggressive but reactive dog, veterinary visits can often be stressful and unpredictable. The entire team went above and beyond to make the experience as comfortable as possible for both of us.
The veterinary staff were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and patient. They took the time to work at my dog’s pace, without rushing her or making her feel overwhelmed. Their calm and understanding approach helped ease her anxiety and allowed the examination to be completed with minimal stress. It was clear that they genuinely cared about her well-being and were experienced in handling dogs with unique behavioral challenges.
I was equally impressed by the administrative staff. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and exceptionally kind. They treated both my dog and me with compassion and respect, making what could have been a difficult visit feel much more manageable. Their professionalism, excellent communication, and genuine concern for their clients truly stood out.
With a dog like our Ripley, finding a veterinary team that is both highly skilled and compassionate has historically been difficult; Metro Animal Hospital has clearly built a culture centered around exceptional patient care and client service. I am very grateful for the patience, kindness, and professionalism shown to my dog, and I would highly recommend Metro Animal Hospital to anyone.

Jane Animal Hospital
313 Jane St, TorontoI've only visited this vet once so far for my cats' annual checkups, and that experience was good; The vet was professional and made good suggestions for improving their quality of life and avoiding repeats of past health issues.
Where I'm really grateful is how they handle questions that I'm not sure about. They're always willing to look at photos via email, and will get one of the medical staff to follow up with recommendations. Including whether or not the current situation warrants a visit. It saves everyone time, and leaves appointments for the animals who really need them. It's a really great system.
They're a little more expensive than other vets in the area, as of late 2025 when I checked, but absolutely worth it in my opinion. Thanks again Jane Animal Hospital!

Ruffin' It Dog Walking
896 Dundas St E, TorontoWriting this review was a challenge...
Insomuch as it was a struggle to balance lavishing sufficient praise upon Erin and Byron whilst avoiding sounding like a paid shill or a bot.
Erin and Byron have been walking my dog, Kyle, for over a year now, and I simply cannot recommend their services highly enough!
My dog, though a perfect angel, is also elderly, mobility-challenged, and initially quite reserved. He has been quite apathetic about other dog walkers in the past, and also endured walkers who don’t really get how to bond with and appreciate the idiosyncrasies of their charges. Upon initially meeting them, I could tell that Erin and Byron loved both dogs AND their work. And just as importantly, I could tell that Kyle felt this as well.
Throughout the many months they have been walking him, they have proven this to be the case again and again, and have graciously and thoughtfully accommodated both Kyle and myself to ensure that our needs are being met.
From slotting Kyle into a group that (while unconventional based on dog sizing) was the right “vibe” for him based on his pace, hauling around my obtrusive stair set to ensure he could get into the car comfortably, dropping him off last when possible because he loves car rides, and taking him for little rests and treats sometimes when the temperatures are high, he is ALWAYS thrilled to see them both and is happy and tired when he gets home from their adventures.
Moreover, they have allowed me to change my walk schedule weekly to match my erratic shiftwork schedule, always communicate the important events of the walk (i.e. the poops and cute pictures), keep me up to date with the drop off times each walk, and have always shared any concerns or thoughts they have about any changes to his function/mobility that they are picking up on. Even my neighbours have commented to me, unprompted, how kind my dog walkers are and how much they seem to love Kyle.
Which is, at the end of the day, what I appreciate the most about them, why I trust them with my dog’s life and happiness, and why I unreservedly recommend them to you: They love my dog, and they treat him accordingly.
I am certain they will love yours too.

La Gloria Mexican coffee
453 Parliament St, TorontoEveryone here was so kind and knowledgeable! My husband can’t eat gluten and they had a variety of snacks and were happy to alter some of their meals to support him eating with us.
On top of that, the staff were super pleasant and excited that we had questions about their coffee.
The food, coffee, and other drinks were delicious! We tried chocolate flan, guava cake, strawberry cheesecake and a cookie. My personal favourite was the flan and guava cake. That being said all were really good and not to sweet! The flan and cookie were gluten free and I know my husband was incredibly happy to be part of taste testing as it would be common for him to have to politely decline at a cafe.
The different roasts also have some great tasting points. My personal favourite was a mocha with the medium roast coffee. It had such a great taste and was very smooth! My husband really enjoyed a cortado with the light roast and has been raving about it since we had it
The actual seating area is a vibe. Latin music, beautiful flowers, Mexican pots, fantastic art on the walls, etc. it’s very comfortable and inviting!
Someone even came over and took a nice picture of me and my group with a big camera. They said we just have to reach out to get a copy in a few days. We’re excited to have a photo of ourselves together ❤️
Overall, if you don’t try this coffee place you’re missing out!
