451 Church St, TorontoI came in to the store today to pick up food for my roommates cat. I wasn't sure what I needed to get or where to find it. Thankfully, I was greeted by a very friendly staff member, Nicole, who was able to immediately bring me to the correct section and run me through my options. I found Nicole to be very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the care of animals, which gave me a lot of confidence that I had come to the right place.

Barkingham Palace
2211 Gerrard St E, TorontoI should have written this review a while ago but figured that my better half had already given a glowing review !!! Both Kelsey & Jim deserve all the praise they get for their dedication to the Barkingham Pack … the doggies are always looking so relaxed and happy while at the day care . Zorro waits every morning to jump in the car to get to see his friends ! He definitely seems to have a lot of fun and is quite pitted when we pick him up . Kelsey takes great pains to get beautiful and action pictures of the pack, it must be a chore to do it every day but she manages to surprise us with awesome shots . Both of us and Zorro are fortunate to have found such caring individuals who truly are devoted to the pack. Thank you Kelsey and Jim for taking such great care of not just Zorro but the entire Barkingham Pack ? we are also thankful for the overnight stays for Zorro while we travel.

The treatments and recommendations have transparent pricing, the vets are always eager to answer all of my questions, and they have a very genuine sense of care for my pets. They have always made time during any emergencies or health issues my cats have had. Metro Animal Hospital
2646 Danforth Avenue, TorontoI recently brought my stubborn Olde English Bulldogge (Ripley♥) to Metro Animal Hospital for a check-up, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care and service we received. As the owner of a non-aggressive but reactive dog, veterinary visits can often be stressful and unpredictable. The entire team went above and beyond to make the experience as comfortable as possible for both of us.
The veterinary staff were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and patient. They took the time to work at my dog’s pace, without rushing her or making her feel overwhelmed. Their calm and understanding approach helped ease her anxiety and allowed the examination to be completed with minimal stress. It was clear that they genuinely cared about her well-being and were experienced in handling dogs with unique behavioral challenges.
I was equally impressed by the administrative staff. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and exceptionally kind. They treated both my dog and me with compassion and respect, making what could have been a difficult visit feel much more manageable. Their professionalism, excellent communication, and genuine concern for their clients truly stood out.
With a dog like our Ripley, finding a veterinary team that is both highly skilled and compassionate has historically been difficult; Metro Animal Hospital has clearly built a culture centered around exceptional patient care and client service. I am very grateful for the patience, kindness, and professionalism shown to my dog, and I would highly recommend Metro Animal Hospital to anyone.

Village Gate Animal Hospital
1357 Bathurst St, TorontoI have never been so happy about a Vet appointment since my dog Mr. E and l lived in Costa Rica.
I only wish l had switched veterinary clinics sooner because Mr. E was happy, calm and trusting not stressed and shaking like he has been at the last veterinarian. The difference was night and day.
Dr. Hesam met my boy on the floor and took time to gain his trust. He wasn't hoisted to a steel table nor did he suffer the stress of disorganized staff in a hurry with conflicting information.
Dr. Hesam gave clear advice and information that was extremely helpful. He did not push me to have expensive tests. He explained what was important to manage my boy's condition including overall general health needs.
From the moment we arrived to when we left the experience was friendly, kind and professional not only from Dr. Hesam but also Christina and reception.
Mr. E was in no hurry to leave which says everything. Thank you Village Gate!

Ruffin' It Dog Walking
896 Dundas St E, TorontoWriting this review was a challenge...
Insomuch as it was a struggle to balance lavishing sufficient praise upon Erin and Byron whilst avoiding sounding like a paid shill or a bot.
Erin and Byron have been walking my dog, Kyle, for over a year now, and I simply cannot recommend their services highly enough!
My dog, though a perfect angel, is also elderly, mobility-challenged, and initially quite reserved. He has been quite apathetic about other dog walkers in the past, and also endured walkers who don’t really get how to bond with and appreciate the idiosyncrasies of their charges. Upon initially meeting them, I could tell that Erin and Byron loved both dogs AND their work. And just as importantly, I could tell that Kyle felt this as well.
Throughout the many months they have been walking him, they have proven this to be the case again and again, and have graciously and thoughtfully accommodated both Kyle and myself to ensure that our needs are being met.
From slotting Kyle into a group that (while unconventional based on dog sizing) was the right “vibe” for him based on his pace, hauling around my obtrusive stair set to ensure he could get into the car comfortably, dropping him off last when possible because he loves car rides, and taking him for little rests and treats sometimes when the temperatures are high, he is ALWAYS thrilled to see them both and is happy and tired when he gets home from their adventures.
Moreover, they have allowed me to change my walk schedule weekly to match my erratic shiftwork schedule, always communicate the important events of the walk (i.e. the poops and cute pictures), keep me up to date with the drop off times each walk, and have always shared any concerns or thoughts they have about any changes to his function/mobility that they are picking up on. Even my neighbours have commented to me, unprompted, how kind my dog walkers are and how much they seem to love Kyle.
Which is, at the end of the day, what I appreciate the most about them, why I trust them with my dog’s life and happiness, and why I unreservedly recommend them to you: They love my dog, and they treat him accordingly.
I am certain they will love yours too.

Cafe Polonez
195 Roncesvalles Ave, TorontoWhen I came to Canada Many years ago I found this restaurant. From that time I try to get back as many times as I can for lunch or dinner. Food is always delicious. Few days ago I ordered Hungarian Pancake . I ask to put pork goulash on separate plate. the potato pancake was made to perfection - crispy, brown, but not black, not oily . Becouse I got the goulash on separate dishes I can enjoy the crispy taste to the end. Combinations of the vegetables salad was also delicious. I am serving many restaurants like a trade person , then I know how hard is to run that type of business -really challenge - I will never go to do it. for example - people giving this place only 1 star for review becouse this place is so loudly , it is not the owner or staff fault. It is completely customer fault - why You punish owner for this ? After finishing my dinner I have a moment to talk to owner of this restaurant. I congratulate her running this business for many ,many years and still making the delicious food . I wish this place will stay open may , many more years.

Dirty Birrias
1610 Queen St E, TorontoStopped in here for something to eat before our concert at History, and was pleasantly surprised!! The menu was decently small which I really appreciated!!
The woman who took our order was so kind and helpful, she asked if it was our first time trying Birria, and she was helpful with picking out what we wanted to eat. They had 4 protein options - beef, lamb, fish and jack fruit!! So something for everyone :)
We ordered the queso-beef birria box with an extra side order of dirty rice. We also got a free order of nachos!! They had sooo many different Jarritos flavours as well!! Everything was so delicious.
The food was made so quickly, and it’s all so fresh!! We also watched the gentleman in the back fry up some fresh tortilla chips. It was all truly soooo good.
If we ever find our way back to this area we will definitely be stopping here again!!

Toronto Cat Rescue Volunteer Centre
4229 Dundas St W, EtobicokeI adopted a cat from Toronto Cat Rescue and had a very positive experience. The team was responsive over email and made the entire process easy, clear, and smooth. They provided transparent information about the cat’s health, behavior, and the type of home where she would thrive best.
Thanks to Toronto Cat Rescue, I adopted a cat who is an absolute delight. Thank you to the volunteers and foster caregivers for the important work you do for these cats.
