Last Friday afternoon (July 18th), my painter and I stopped by Paintscapes West Benjamin Moore in Oakville with a bit of a flooring dilemma on our hands. We were in search of a matte varnish or stain to fix a tricky issue at our client’s home and thankfully, we had the good fortune of being assisted by Derek.
From the moment we walked in, Derek went above and beyond. Not only did he take the time to understand our problem, but he also jumped right in to help us test solutions using the sample board we brought along. He provided everything we needed, brushes, a heat gun to speed up drying, and most importantly, expert advice.
The store wasn’t overly busy, which meant we got to monopolize Derek’s time (sorry, not sorry!). It truly felt like a collaborative effort, and his recommendation for the flat varnish was spot-on. The final results at our client’s home were stunning--honestly, the floor looked even better than before the issue arose. Our client was thrilled, and so were we.
