“My organization celebrated Eid today as a part of our DEIA-A journey and ordered food from Pak Halal. The Biryani portions were very generous and wonderfully flavored; I really enjoyed the cilantro on the breads and the chicken was incredibly tender. A great experience!”

“How could you rate this location with anything less than 5 stars?? THE most courteous and helpful staff around from the owners down. 99% inventory on flyer specials. Super clean environment. I drive past a couple locations to shop here.”

“What a wonderful visit we had to the new location of the Urban Market! Friendly service, mouth watering locally sourced food products and nicely done handmade gift items. I also discovered they have my favourite shampoo and will refill my bottles for me, so green! Can’t say enough about this great store!!!!!”

“I like this place, prices are reasonable, produce are always fresh and they have a fair choice when it comes to meat. The staff is helpful and do not mind going out back to check availability if something is short.”

“When I was a child I frequented this location with my parents, enticed by the promise of Fruit Roll-Ups and Cheestrings. The company which once inhabited this location was once Price Chopper. Much has changed since then but some things haven't. The warmth and good nature of the staff is what has kept me shopping here all these years. On any given day you may hear the produce manager whistling a cheery tune as you decide on which variety of apples appeals to you. He is often there, greeting customers with a gentle tenderness that makes one feel truly welcome. Throughout the grocery aisles, the stocking clerks work quietly and diligently. Occasionally the silence is broken by an uproar in laughter as they push their stock carts past the cashiers and someone cracks a lighthearted joke. Once ready to checkout, you will be greeted by a cashier who reminds you of your super cool, favourite aunt. In the background, a staff member returning from their break brings in a tray of hot drinks for the rest of the staff which elevates everyone's spirit and adds a glimmer of magic to what can feel like a mundane day. You exchange pleasantries with the cashiers, discussing the weather and plans for the day and then you depart, feeling a renewed sense of hope for the day and for humanity at large. These small pleasantries should never be taken for granted as they are the foundation of a community with heart. Thank you freshco for bringing a little warmth into our lives on these cold winter days.”

“Sobeys Oshawa is a clean and well-organized grocery store with a good selection of fresh produce, bakery items, and quality meats. The aisles are neatly arranged, making shopping easy and convenient.
Staff are friendly and helpful, and checkout is usually smooth even during busy hours. Prices are fair for the quality offered, and the store maintains a pleasant shopping atmosphere.
A reliable place for regular grocery shopping in Oshawa.”

“Overall, it's an okay store. Fruit and veg are hit or miss . 50% rotting , 50% fresh. Depends if you are there at the right time. Last time I was there, 4 or 5 types of bread were expired on the shelf (2 days after being closed for a holiday), so just check your dates. Cashiers are not too friendly but also not rude. Most of the time, sale items are available.”

“Very good place to shop... have some items you can't find in other stores (I looked... like peanuts in shells, bagged), prices are reasonable and lineups are quick and some international foods too”

“I literally was having the worst day ever. I had a pc express delivery expected and there was an error. I called the store and was met with an apology and promise to rectify. Unfortunately there was another hiccup and the store was so apologetic, didn’t make up excuses, told me the truth about the error and promised it would be resolved. My groceries were super late but I honestly don’t care. The team working pc express on January 24, 2026 needs some staff appreciation. They didn’t let me down! I appreciate all you did for me. ?”

“Dylan's No Frills on Simcoe St N in Oshawa is a reliable budget staple for north-end folks—killer prices on flyers, fresh produce that's actually crisp (not wilted like some spots), and a solid bakery for cheap loaves. The store's clean and organized, with friendly cashiers who zip through lines, and easy free parking in the plaza. TTC's a quick hop too. Downsides: occasional stockouts on popular items, and those unprofessional managers won't budge on pricing glitches—super frustrating if you're short on time. Great for weekly shops, but check dates and avoid peak evenings”

“This grocery store has been our regular grocery shopping store for 10+ years. We have been to others in area but we definitely prefer this location.

Parking is plentiful and has easy access and is in a plaza with a lot of other stores that we regularly visit (dollar store, halendas, great clips, convenience store and many more)

The store is always very clean, well lit and lots of room in the aisles. The layout makes it easy to shop for all your groceries. The health/healthier food aisle is pretty well stocked.

They have a good amount of cashiers as well as self checkout. We usually go in the early morning during the week as the weekend days can be busy.

They always have a good rotation of meat on sale each week.

They always have what we need for our weekly grocery needs and I haven't ever seen any of the staples out of stock.

This store has a dedicated aisle for healthy/organic grocery items such as coconut milk, almond milk and bobs red mill items (too many more to list).

Staff is always friendly and willing to help and answer questions.”

“It's a grocery store, nbd

However I have a brain injury, and struggle with packing a large order ($300+ worth of items) in the time you need to pack up. I always ask them to call someone to come help, and they are always very kind about it (the cashier and the person who comes to help)”

“Great store. Watch the weekly flyer. Always has a couple of great bargains. Only downside is trying to find a staff member on the floor and if you do, they only know a small part of the store. It is a huge place.”
