“A nice selection of frozen prepared food. Really, really nice selection of beautiful apples. They also sell cider, in 2 L and 4L containers. Their Sundae bar looked yummy. All sorts of sauces, jams etc suitable for gift baskets. They sell large containers of apple butter.”

“Sal’s is a great place for those on a budget. He helped me get through leaner years! Their cold meats and butcher meats are a fraction of the cost of regular grocery stores and I think they’re fresh because of the high volume.I still go there for meats even though I’m doing better these days.For grocery items, you should check the expiry dates to see that you’re comfortable with them. Sal once said that they’re not “expired”, but “best before”! I think he must get them at a fraction of the cost and he passes in the savings.For example, I bought a box of 20 Lindt chocolate bars for $10. My friend used to have vending machines and used to get boxes of Oh Henry’s. I don’t think a chocolate bar or a cookie goes bad, it’s just best before!”

“These guys work magic! The day I got my ugg boots I went to work with them and got brown hair dye on the right boot (I work at a hair salon) after only having them for about 3 hours. In a panic I tried to wipe the dye off with a wet paper towel and made it so much worse! Long story short I googled dry cleaners that clean ugg boots and The Dry Cleaner was the top result with the best reviews so naturally I gave them a shot. The man there is so kind and when I explained my situation he seemed very confident that he could get it cleaned for me. I just picked them up today and I'm actually shocked at how good they look! I was honestly expecting at least a brown spot but they got the dye and the water damage completely out. It was so affordable too and even though he told me it took multiple attempts to get them completely clean he didn't charge me any extra. Definitely give these guys a try! 10/10”

“Miss this one open 24 hours. Other than, staff are all great. Product is solid. Prices are expected. Really close to home.Update for the 2024. All as I've said before. Only downfall in my opinion is one checkout maybe two open. Or use the self checkouts. Not my thing.”

“this is my favorite of all the no-frills in the whole of the Durham region.if something is on sale they have an abundance and the quality is as good as anywhere.the management of this store at one time had a smaller no-frills in my neighborhood. i remember them because the supermarket was so good and it changed so much when they moved on.i now go out of my way to shop in this no-frills and avoid disappointment.”
