“I am lucky to see this great store and meet the owner while I visited Pickering on 28 October, 2023. Al Madina Super Market is considered as one of the finest places (Retail Chain Store) for grocery in Pickering. Md Kamrul Islam, the proprietor, has good knowledge on business and customer service. It has good collection of grocery items, meaning that you can find all in one place, especially meats, fishes, vegetables and other daily commodities. The environment of this store is pretty good, and the behavior of all staffs here is mind blowing. I appreciate good services and wish the best of luck with more excellent services for people.?❤️”

“This is an amazing location to visit. My daughter and I first visited this store about six years ago or more. My daughter was diagnosed at Sick Kids and we were trying to remedy her health situation with a healthier lifestyle. We were blessed on our first visit to encounter Aysha. She was extremely helpful and listened intently as my daughter and I sought her help with products. It made the daunting experience all the more comforting.Our subsequent visits were extremely made easier as Aysha always greeted my daughter with a smile on her face and a compassionate heart. My daughter began to refer to her as "Aunty" as Aysha made my daughter feel special and welcome.I have to admit that I continued to visit this store because of Aysha and her helpfulness. I would look for her as my journey with my daughter and her health challenges was not an easy route. It was always a blessing to have someone who was not only knowledgeable, but compassionate and understanding. Being remembered was such a bonus that I actually relished visiting this location. Honestly speaking, it was Aysha that initially kept my daughter's and my loyalty to this branch.It was suggested that I visit another location, however, once I experienced the customer service at that branch I realised that we were better off at the Pickering location because their customer service skills were far superior to any other area.We are so grateful to Aysha because of her skills we continued to visit Healthy Planet and as a direct result over the years we have encountered many wonderful individuals who go above and beyond to assist us with their knowledge and wisdom. They are all extremely helpful and greet us as soon as we enter the doorway. Sometimes we have forgotten something and they are more than willing to accommodate us. This goes along way when you have been on a health journey with your daughter for 15 years.I would like to mention some of the other amazing individuals that my daughter and I have had the pleasure to have assist us on this road as we hope that it will encourage you to visit them and have the privilege of having them help you to achieve your health goals and lead a better life.Thank you to Paul, Zaid, Dimitri and Jordan. They have all helped us over the years, going above and beyond their call of duty. We know that they will continue to be there for many years to come. “First time visiting Food City and I was so impressed with staff being so helpful and also the layout and organization of the grocer was very well done.Various items catering to both East & West Indian customers which is great for the Pickering area.Fresh produce, fresh meats and seafood, so many different types of snacks, both ready to eat and available to make at home.There are so many different types of curry powders available also.It was nice to see many options of Soya (vegan options) both plain and flavored. I have never seen such a large selection like this before.”

“They have a lot of the basics but they need to watch the flies, especially in the guinep bag. All of them needed to be thrown out. Nice to see they had plums but they were all green.They have most of what you need though.”

“Don't mind going here to grab groceries. They have a lot of ethnic varieties, you just need to search for them as I've found are grouped differently from other Asian supermarkets. Did not eat at their prepared food section, so cannot comment on quality/taste.”

“Good prices and clean store. They usually have the best prices on Juice, cereal/snakes and Milk. And they do price match. The store is kept very clean. Example, week of April 1st they had great price on Ice Tea and Toilet paper to name few deals...”

“I personally don't understand all the negative reviews. I've been a customer at this location for almost 3 years and have never experienced any of the issues that have been posted here. The staff have always provided me with excellent customer service and patient care. As long as the service continues at the level I receive I will remain a customer for a very long time.
