“We found this place by accident, walking by and saw all the cases of soft drinks. They have a great selection of pop from the US. As someone else mentioned they don't have signs with prices. However the employees were very friendly and scanned the drinks I was interested. Although the drinks are much more expensive than local soft drinks they are about the same price as other specialty shops in the area. One variety was over three times the cost of a regular local Coke. But you are paying for variety.
Having never been here before I don't know if they always have a good variety. For now, being addicted to a couple of flavours,I will be a regular customer. They also had a decent selection of chocolate bars. I didn't pay attention to the meat area but there were many options.”

“If you're in downtown Vancouver and looking for a Persian supermarket with great prices and variety, Aria Market is a fantastic choice. The fruits and vegetables here are not only fresh but also priced lower than major competitors like Walmart or Safeway. You can find almost anything you need, from everyday essentials to a wide selection of Persian products that are hard to come by elsewhere.
The staff are friendly and always ready to help. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality and affordability in the heart of Vancouver!”
“A Wonderful Experience at Duruma Japanese market
I recently visited Duruma Japanese market, and I was incredibly impressed by the quality and variety of products they offer. From fresh produce and authentic Japanese snacks to specialty items like Japanese Onigirai they had everything I was looking for. The store is clean, well-organized, and has a welcoming atmosphere.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They were quick to answer my questions and even gave me great recommendations on some lesser-known products. I really appreciated the attention to detail in stocking unique and hard-to-find items that cater to authentic Japanese cuisine.
Overall Duruma Japanese market is my go-to spot for all things Japanese! Highly recommend this store to anyone who enjoys Japanese food or is looking to explore new and delicious ingredients.”
“Service and atmosphere were amazing! I loved my Caffe Latte ? haven't tried any of their food so I will leave that spot blank or 0 stars for now but I will definitely come back to try their food soon.?”
“Highly recommend this store to anyone looking for great spices, dried peppers, beans...basically if you are needing and waiting great quality, this is the store.”
“I’ve been shopping here since I moved to Chinatown during the pandemic. I love that they carry local brands some from other places, and there’s a wide variety of items, and price ranges for everyone. Their clearance section always has great products and they reduce the prices well. I also love that I can purchase a donut at the counter. Everything is vegan so you don’t have to think twice. “This store also sells meats that are packed beautifully in papers. There are different options such as ground beef, flavoured chicken,…and the meats are also very good.”
“The shop is great — almost everything comes from Japan or is locally made by Japanese artisans. The prices are fair, and even though there aren’t many drink options, the excellent service and high-quality products more than make up for it.”

“Great selection. A little pricey, but that’s to be expected. Lots of keto foods that would be hard to find elsewhere.
Just wish they were more centrally located.”

“Most staff are nice, but one who appears to be the manager/owner seems stingy and wanting to lecture people about how they don't make much money or lose money on milk and so they can't give me points on buying milk. Brought up cheese and yogurt that was expired and she acted like it was my fault.
Prices are expected as it is nice and convenient, and there are interesting and unique products. However they seem to have an inventory problem and have too much of some stuff that doesn't sell well, and often have some random discounted/clearance items.”
“This is pretty well a weekly stop for our family. The chips and guacamole are to die for but they have so many delicious and interesting products and the staff are really lovely.”
“Was an adventure very cool stuff I made sure to come here today to get the rum balls. I love chocolate, tea, pastas, unusual items that you can’t find anywhere else worth the trip.”
“Donald's Market is truly one of the gems of the neighborhood. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted by the kindest aunties and uncles—the staff here are genuinely helpful, welcoming, and always ready to lend a hand or share a smile. You can really feel the sense of community the moment you step inside.
And let’s talk about the food—Thursday and Friday beef brisket is an absolute must. Hands down some of the best brisket in the Lower Mainland. Flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection every single time. It’s something I actually look forward to during the week.
Thank you to everyone at Donald’s Market for creating such a warm, caring environment and for consistently delivering amazing food. This place feels like family, not just a grocery store. ??”

“They have everything from snacks you wouldn't normally find in other Japanese specialty stores as well as specific ingredients for cooking and baking. The Shop over was very helpful and kind in helping me find what I was looking for, and is able able to speak and understand both Japanese and English which was very helpful for items I am not able to describe in English. This is now my regular go to store for Japanese items and nececcities. They even have hot food as well which is so wonderful, it reminded me of being back in Japan <3 thank you”

“Passionate vegetarian market owners. Half the selection is Ⓥ. Discovered Happy Veggie world from their Plant Curious deal and go regularly now. 80% of the stock is frozen. They have HUGE bulk supply of everything - like a Chinese vegetarian restaurant supply or Costco for vegetarians. You can get frozen Ⓥ ramens for half the price the same Product is sold for at Vegan Supply or Choices in Vancouver. I am a huge fan of the vegan frozen ramen, frozen poached eggs, frozen bacon, frozen shrimp, frozen wontons, frozen rice cakes with bean, sesame toona paste and frozen tempeh, frozen dumplings, frozen king pao chicken, frozen Dayia cheesecakes. Everything is so affordable - like half price compared to resellers. Def check labels and ask Una to help if they aren’t translated from Chinese. Some items are vegetarian and some do contain MSG. Read labels! Updated from previous review on 2026-01-24”
“if you need any spice ever, this is THE place to come. the prices are so good too i've never been disappointed coming here. staff are super friendly and helpful too”
“I heard that there are only two branches in Canada. One is in Toronto and the other is in Vancouver. Going to the supermarket is like going back to Taiwan. Love it.”
“I love bringing my packages here. The staff are some of the friendliest folks and they are always attentive and looking to help. I sometimes have many and some really heavy packages and the owners will often help pass the packages in or offload it with me. Can't think of any other place that shows that kind of care. Even when there store gets quite full, they'll do their best to make room and accomodate your packages. Thanks ACME grocery!”

“Small store with little variety. Good if you are looking for main middle eastern products. Prices are ok as it’s not a volume store. Very nice owner. He should change the name of the store to get more customers.”
“Great little store in Richmond...and well the only grocery store. Cashiers are friendly and chatty, good small town feel. Some items can be a little pricier compared to shopping in Kanata, but overall a great place.”
