I have always had good expirences with cashiers up untill tonight, and I’m sharing this in hopes management sees this and addresses the issue.

I came in around 6:45 pm to pick up a few groceries. I do not usually use self check outs but I did! I saw cherries were on sale and grabbed a bag. When I scanned them, I noticed the price was different so I removed the code to see if I can try again. A lady working self checkout ( didn’t get her name)- yelled from her toll- “DID YOU NOT WANT TNEM”- I responded nicely- I do, I just thought they were a different price. She says in a condescending tone- ITS PER POUND. So I go to re scan them and because I didn’t enter the code first it flashed a message saying assistance required. She yells at me again “DONT SCAN THEM FIRST”. The entire transaction she was yelling at me, annoyingly came over to fix the screen while huffing and rolling her eyes at me and stormed off.

I was getting so nervous my hands were shaking and it made me want to just leave everything and go to food basics. I paid for everything and walked out. She was standing laughing with another worker and didn’t even say have a nice day like the other cashiers always do.

Her job is to help people in a friendly manner and I didn’t get that experience. I was left feeling judged and snubbed.

I hope this is the first and last time this happens.

Other than that, I always have such pleasant expirences with staff here.”
